Tick Season is Coming – Be Prepared!

As the weather warms up, so does tick season in Colorado! These pesky parasites are more than just a nuisance—they can transmit diseases like Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever to both pets and people.

How to Protect Your Pets:
✔ Use veterinarian-recommended tick preventatives
✔ Check your pets after outdoor adventures, especially in wooded or grassy areas.
✔ If you find a tick, remove it carefully with tweezers and monitor your pet for any signs of illness.
✔️ Bring in the tick so we can send it off to be tested (no charge to you)

The holidays are a magical time, but they can bring hidden dangers for our furry family members. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and stress-free this Christmas:

🍫 Holiday Treats:
- Chocolate Is a No-No: Even a small amount can be toxic to dogs and cats. Keep those sweet treats safely stored away.
- Turkey Bones: Cooked bones can splinter and cause choking or internal injuries. Treat your pets to safe chews instead.

🌱 Seasonal Plants🌺:
- Danger Zone: Mistletoe, holly, and poinsettias are toxic to pets. Consider pet-safe plants like Christmas cactus instead.

🔔 Loud Noises & Stress:
- Big gatherings can overwhelm some pets. Create a quiet, cozy space where they can relax away from the hustle and bustle.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Mobile Critter Care! 🐾

We’re thankful for all the pets who keep us busy, the owners who trust us with their fur babies, and the turkeys who… well… might want to stay out of sight today.

Here are a few quick reminders to keep your pets happy and safe this Thanksgiving:
🍗 Turkey is delicious, but bones are dangerous! Keep the scraps for YOUR leftovers, NOT Fido.
🥧 Pumpkin pie is for humans. Your dog might love pumpkin, but they don’t need the sugar and spice.
🍴 Keep an eye on the table! A cat on a mission is faster than Uncle Bob reaching for seconds.

Wishing you a day full of love, laughter, and just enough food for everyone to still move afterward. 😉

For the FIRST time in the history of my business (8 years) I am stuck at a client's house! I have always managed to make it thru some crazy weather and snow storms, but this is a doozy of a snow storm!
Thankfully, I only had one other dog to check on today, and he had a neighbor as a back up to be able to let the dog out! So I guess it's movie/couch day with Miss Luna!
