Hi all...just wanted to let everyone know that effective IMMEDIATELY, I will not be adding to our "wait" list. I will also be pausing intake until I get more kitties vetted and out to homes. I WILL be taking a break from all things rescue shortly but no worries, I have enough to keep me busy for quite some time. Winter is fast approaching, thank goodness because today was completely brutal I must change my focus to what needs to be done outside and for the millionth time, try and do what's needed to move Merlin and Zemi.
While it's 99.9% me who goes against my own wishes, I will be fighting as hard as I can to not do that. Please do not tag me, send me pics, or message me, I am so very sorry, I can't help right now, my plate is full, full, full

This little boy needs your positive thoughts and prayers, he is burned, yes, burned. His face burned to the point his eyes are sealed closed and his mouth is all scabs and the swelling is starting, his paws, his toe nails are melted and curled, the end of his tale to the bone, his ears, all his hair completely cinged. His chances of survival are guarded, but myself and his Veterinary team will give it our best. How you ask could this happen?
Most likely thrown into a burn pit to die. To say this breaks my heart is an understatement, because its just pure evil to do this to a living breathing soul. His siblings stay close to him, one of them is always laying next to him to comfort him. He is eating and drinking.
If you see something, say something. If you hear something, tell someone. THIS HAS TO STOP!

🚫 PLEASE DON’T GO INTO THE WOODS LOOKING FOR A LOST DOG 🚫
I want to address a common mistake that can do far more harm than good: well-meaning or curious people walking into wooded areas to try to spot or approach a missing dog.

Many lost dogs find a sense of safety in secluded patches of woods. These spots become their temporary “safe zones” — areas they return to, rest in, and feel secure hiding in. When people enter these woods out of curiosity or in an attempt to help, they unknowingly disturb that sense of safety, causing the dog to flee and sometimes disappear entirely from the area.

We work hard to anchor dogs to a location so we can safely recover them. A single person walking into those woods can erase days — even weeks — of progress.

Please do not search unless specifically asked to do so.
The best way to help is by reporting sightings immediately, from a distance, without calling or approaching the dog.

Your cooperation truly makes a difference. Let’s work with the dog’s behavior, not against it. 🙏🐾
