Some of our campers spent time learning all about horse colors and markings during a Barn Lesson! 🐴

Using a worksheet created by one of our incredible Sr. Counselors, Sarah, campers identified everything from stars and snips to bays, chestnuts, and paints. They even got to test their new knowledge by spotting colors and markings on horses around the stables!!

We are sooooo thankful for our counselors who go above and beyond to create fun, hands on learning experiences that help our campers grow their horse knowledge every day!!! 🤎

A few of our groups got a Barn Lesson on the basics of bathing horses… when we bathe them, why we do it, and how to do it safely and correctly. Campers helped rinse, scrub, and care for their horses while learning another important part of horsemanship!!

And of course, they also discovered one of childhood’s greatest joys… putting their thumb over the hose 😆💦

The horses may be the stars of Camp, but today the campers stole the show. 🐴🎤✨ We are sooooo proud of every camper who stepped up, tried something new, and cheered on their friends during our Talent Show!

We started the week with lots of saddle time! 🐴 At the heart of Camp Switch Willo are our horses. Every ride is a chance for campers to build their confidence and learn the fundamentals… all while creating special connections with our incredible animals.

We can’t wait to see all the growth, laughter, and memories this week will bring!!! 🤎

The horses are just the beginning here at 🤎

Every single day is filled with opportunities to practice our Camp Values… showing respect to our horses and others, practicing acts of kindness, listening well, and having FUN together.

Of course, there are horses, crafts, swimming, games, and adventures!! But there are also lots of little moments that matter just as much… helping a friend, trying something new, learning responsibility, and working as a team.

One of the best parts of camp is getting to watch our campers grow in confidence, both in and out of the saddle.

Horse Show Day is always one of the most special days of the week!! 🐴🤎

After a week of riding, learning, practicing, and building confidence… our campers get the chance to ride their course in front of family and friends!!

There is something so sweet about watching them do things on Friday that felt a little scary on Monday. The growth that happens in just one week is incredible to see.

Thank you for an amazing week of Camp!!! 👋🐴
