This gorgeous hunk is here for boarding and training while his humans are off on their honeymoon. They love him so much, they even named one of the cocktails at the wedding after him!

Even though the cold is coming, here in Austin we get to paddleboard most of the year thanks to warm temps.

Bentley is a frequent Adventure Camp participant and always gets a ton of attention for his good manners from other boarders.

As a trainer, sometimes we get to see little things that are BIG steps for a dog. Kilo belongs to a client and as of last year wanted to eat myself and any dog or stranger nearby. He was not safe and had a bite history. His very devoted owner had LOTS of training with big name trainers, but none ever addressed his emotional state.

Fast forward to working with New Leaf Canine. Now he can board safely with us and even chose to come and sit on me to get groomed leash free. Small steps, BIG progress.

We LOVE it when clients send us updates! Miss Laguna got to spend the day out to a pumpkin patch and lunch with her family. Their goal was to have her be a comfortable and relaxed companion they can take anywhere. We'd say they are ROCKING it!

Did you know between July 3rd-August 11 of this year is known as the "Dog Days of Summer"?

Theo here agrees they are the most uncomfortable part of the year! We keep outdoor sessions short in this weather.

Historically this period following the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius (known colloquially as the "Dog Star"), which Hellenistic astrology connected with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs, and bad luck.

I'm sure we are all looking forward to the break in the heat wave!

A fantastic session prepping Leoniide and her dog, Bruno, to go off to college this fall. is pet friendly so we got to practice shopping, a farmer's market, and cafe manners that they will need for the collegiate social scene.

Who says little dogs are meant to be couch potatos?!? Sox and Dunkin prove small can be mighty! These brothers prove that athletes come in all sizes and even little dogs need exercise and mental stimulation just as much as the bigger guys!

Our retiring demo dog, Goose, shows our board and train dogs (Laguna, Sox, and Dunkin) the ropes on how to live the Austin Lifestyle. We hiked the Violet Crown Trail and cooled off in the creek as part of their training.

Some of you have met our newest demo and competition puppy, Kore! She is excelling at PSA training (Protection Sports Association) and many of her siblings are well on their way to their search and rescue certifications with USAR.

Happy six months to the litter. We can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings!

You're probably wondering why we posted a picture of a puppy p*eing. Can you believe this was Chloe's FIRST time pottying outside EVER?

Her mom came to us very lost and frustrated that at four months old she refused to use anything other than p*e pads in the house despite many opportunities to reliever herself outside. We took Chloe in on our Puppy Bootcamp board and train and she is already going outside on leash and going into her crate willingly in just a few days!
