Out here today doing the It's My Park day. Come join us picking up trash and fixing the fence here at the dog park.

The trail is a tiny bit muddy from this mornings rain but the weather is just right.

We will be out here until 2pm today unless it just downpours.

Hi All, I am writing to introduce Jay Pezzotti who will take my place to head the Friends of Mary Moore Searight Park, along with Bill Meacham. He will also continue to manage the pages and answer emails. We are so thankful for his offer to volunteer his time to support our park. My husband and I will continue to volunteer for park projects. It turned out to be a gorgeous day to work. We uncovered 2 Live Oak, 1 Gum Bumelia, Several Possumhaw, 1 Mesquite, 1 Hackbery, and 1 Aromatic Sumac. Thanks to Bruce, Lynn, and Mark for braving the 24 degree morning.

What a gorgeous day to work on the new trail at Mary Moore Searight. Twenty volunteers removed trash, spread mulch, and cleared space around non-juniper trees so they can grow and seed. This place is coming back to life, instead of being trashed. We are already seeing birds, coyotes, deer, and jackrabbits move into the area. Last year this time, the forest was silent. Thanks to awesome community efforts.
