🎵 Play calming music or audiobooks for your pet when you're home or away. This can reduce anxiety and keep them company if you need a little space.

Summer days in Austin are hard on humans and pets 🥵. When you take your dog on a walk, be sure to keep them in the shade. Consider using a cooling vest and bringing a portable water bowl. Keep an eye out for signs of heat stroke, including heavy or difficulty breathing, difficulty balancing, and a bright red tongue and gums. If you notice these symptoms, move them out of the heat and into the shade and carefully pour cool (NOT ICE COLD) water over the dog's body, especially their neck, tummy, and inner thighs. Staying cool is essential during these hot, humid months, so let's keep our pets happy and healthy!

Meet our WOOF Pets of the Week: Ernie, Pearl, and Biscuit! Mr. Biscuit Man has since crossed the rainbow bridge and is a p**f cloud in heaven 😇 🌈☁️. We are so grateful to have been a part of his life and give him all the love he deserved. He will forever hold a place in our hearts. ♥️

His brother and sister, Ernie and Pearl, are holding down the fort and patrolling the neighborhood. This list of some of their favorite things accurately represents their personalities: 1) Snoozing. They are both professional sleeping buddies. 2) Cuddling. They would do this 24 hours a day if you let them. 3) Vacuuming. No crumb stands a chance in the kitchen. 4) Terrorizing the window washers. 😂

It's your monthly reminder to groom your dog’s coat! Regular grooming keeps your dog cool during these hot, humid months and helps prevent skin issues and matting. Remember:
- For long, thick fur, schedule grooming every 4-6 weeks for a tangle-free, manageable mane.
- For short or fine fur, aim for grooming every 8-12 weeks to keep their coat healthy and shiny.
It's more than just keeping your dog looking good, although that is a great perk!
