Happy-sad day, mostly happy for Manchester, who will no longer be shuttled between fosters and the cattery and who now has a forever home! The goal is always “good-bye.”

Everyone loves a CHONK but remember, obesity creates the perfect conditions for your cat to develop diabetes!

On this World Diabetes Day, we encourage all pet parents to learn the signs of diabetes in their fur-kids.
Common symptoms are:
Excessive Thirst
Increased Urination
Change in Appetite
Weight Loss
Lethargy
Unkempt Coat
Recurring Urinary Tract Infections

If you suspect your cat may be diabetic, please visit your veterinarian asap, but don't panic! Diabetes is a manageable disorder, and your vet will help you develop a treatment plan. Cats with well-controlled diabetes can live many years of high quality life, and it's even possible for cats to go into remission.

At night, if her host cat (R, lighter coat) sleeps on the sofa, Manchester (L) sleeps on the sofa. If he sleeps on the bed, Manchester sleeps on the bed. She respects that W***y doesn’t like her snuggles, so she sticks close to me, instead.
