Some of our finest felines are overlooked for foster or adoption because of a little hairloss and temporary rash. That's silly!

All cats and kittens with ringworm are FREE to adopt, including foster kittens and the kitties staying in the Ringworm Adoption Center on site!

Ringworm isn't as scary as you might think! It isn't a worm at all but a simple fungus. Many of the kitties at APA! have mild cases of ringworm and will need only a short course of treatment to be cured. APA! provides 3 weeks of treatment and support to the adopters of these precious kitties!

Don't miss out on an awesome cat because you're afraid of the fungus. They are so often overlooked you're sure to find a gem!

One kitty was adopted from EVERY room in our Tarrytown Cattery yesterday! We've been rooting for these cuties for a while, and are over the moon they went home!

At APA!, canned cat food is a large part of our kitties' meal routines. Our next supplier shipment is on its way but our supply is very low so we are urgently seeking canned cat food donations this week until the order arrives. Donations can be dropped off or delivered to our Town Lake location (1156 W Cesar Chavez) in front of building C. Fanta is very quick to purr her love and joy! She is interested and inquisitive about everything going on around her. She's a little shy in the shelter right now, but given her purry, interactive personality, we suspect she will be over that in no time.

Spark Plug is a new incontinent, paralyzed kitty to APA! He is currently at the shelter and is dying for a foster or adopter. He is a chill, purry dude with the quietest meow and A DREAM to express!

Feisty. That's one way you could describe Bachata! This adorable, calico kitten is so spunky and playful.

When Bachata arrived at APA! her two front legs were broken and partially healed. We suspect she was snatched up by a predator, but managed to escape, brave girl! After exams and observation in foster, it became obvious that she would do best without one of these legs. It keeps her from optimal mobility. Bachata has surgery scheduled to remove this leg, and she will get around much easier!

She is now receiving physical therapy and will need it to continue in her forever home. Her adopter will receive full support from the APA! clinic until all issues with her legs are resolved. Also, both the clinic and Bachata's foster will show her family how to do the physical therapy...it's super easy - just Kitten Calisthenics!

Though almost a year old, Thumper is still a baby at heart. He will "nurse" on a blanket like a lil bebe! Lovingly hand-raised in foster, he's a cuddly sweetheart. He adores other cats, and we think he would be so happy with another kitty to catnap with.

We have SUCH a Happy Tail to share with you this week! After over a year of looking for his forever home- our wonky-legged, diabetic house panther Franklin has gone to his forever home! Franklin is a very special cat to all of us. He came to APA! with back legs that didn't really bend right, so we had to get creative with special litter boxes and ramps to help him get up in higher spaces. On top of all that he had diabetes as well, which is easy to manage but can scare some people away.

⭐ He found his forever home now and they are so smitten with him! ⭐

"He is such a sweetheart and is so loved! We initially saw a video of him on APA's page - I think it was back in March- and it was love at first sight. However, we were worried that we might not be the best home for him because we have six other rescue cats, and didn't want him to feel overwhelmed by the crowd!

Then, in July, Franklin's foster mom reached out letting us know he was still looking for a home- and that he doesn't mind the company of other cats. We felt like it was fate! We have a soft spot for black cats (they are so special, if you know, you know!) And we love giving special needs critters a home that loves them as they are, making Franklin the perfect fit! He has found his new favorite window seat, and conquered the couch. He takes his insulin like a champ, and his diabetes routine is really no trouble at all. We are so happy to have him be a part of our family and look forward to spoiling him rotten"- Franklin's New Family.

Congratulations to the 12 kitties adopted at our Kitten Yoga events this past weekend! We're particularly excited for Wilfred, a 'wobbly' little one with Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
