We are Austin's adorable tiny traveling petting zoo serving the Central Texas area. We provide a unique interactive experience that combines petting and holding our lovable animals with learning facts about the animal breeds, traits, care, and handling. We even have Hoppy Hours for grown-ups! Our specialty is birthday parties for all animal lovers, kids and grown-ups! We also do traveling petting

zoos, photography and face painting for churches, schools, businesses, and pet therapy programs for assisted living facilities and other groups! Tiny Tails to You is licensed by the US Department of Agriculture. Our top priorities are the safety of our animals and on educating people about our animal friends.

Chinchilla bath time! Chinchillas are known for their luxuriously soft fur, but did you know their fur is also incredibly dense? Behind otters, Chinchillas have the second most dense fur of any mammal with around 20,000 hairs per square inch! Because of their super dense fur, they don't take regular baths, but instead take dust baths in special volcanic dust.

It is national Turtle and Tortoise Day! To celebrate, here are our 3 favorite facts about red footed tortoises:
1-Red foots are native to the forests and savannahs of South America. You can still find them in the wild today!
2-They are one of the only species of tortoise who need a source of high protein in their diet. Ours enjoy eating the eggs from our chickens every week!
3-They are super social! Red foots are one of the only reptiles who "gaze follow". Just like us, if one tortoise looks in one direction, another will follow their gaze and look in that direction too. How cool!

The 2 remaining species have have been protected since 1929 and researchers estimate there are around 10,000 animals left in the wild mostly located in the Reserva Nacional Las Chinchillas in Chile.
