After 18 great years in the alpaca business the time has come to move on to other pastures. Work and life had us moving to the Washington, DC area and we just won't be able to keep our alpacas. We've enjoyed all of our friends, loved our alpacas, and had a wonderful time. We have sold or re-homed all but 2 male alpacas from the ranch (they are available for sale)

We still co-own our fabulous herd-sire Robasia's Albus (top 1% EPDs - that's 1 not 10). He is also up for sale for anyone looking for a top notch male. Albus is up at RobAsia in Wisconsin at the moment. Full ownership is for sale as Rob and Joanna are also selling their share of Albus.

We won't be strangers - Ann will be announcing at a few shows next year. Our place in the Texas Hill Country outside of Austin will be up for sale in the coming weeks. If you know of anyone looking for an urban farm (the city has come out to us) but we are well protected in a nice area with several equestrian neighbors.

It's a sad day at Blue Gate. Today we said goodbye to Golden One. He reached the ripe age of 19 years. We acquired him from Snowmass Alpacas when he was four years old. His bloodlines are deep in our herd. Never sick or weak a day in his life. Today was simply his time to say farewell. Thanks GoGo for all the good times we had. It was a pleasure to share our time with you. Rest in peace.

Home again after a great TxOLAN show. This was the debut for Blue Gate Tempest, a son of our super herd sire Albus. Tempest won first place in his class. His brother Atticus was third in his class. The Albus offspring are great. We have a number of females bred to Albus available for sale.

Spring cria season off to a nice start. This little fellow born yesterday. Dad is Multi-national champion Patagonia's Antonio and mom is Estate's Konchai (sired by Accoyo America Jason). Great start Ann Burnette
