Chatterbox Silkies Hi! I’m Ginger! I sadly sold my flock due to life 11/2025.

Hi! Priority is going to the people who have messaged me wanting all of my lavender or all of my available mottled. I will reach out to everyone in the order received, but currently have people who have expressed interest in taking the entire pen. Thank you all so much. This is extremely sad for me. I have had silkies for nine years and really thought that I would get to keep them. πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

Hi all!! It’s been some months! I know many of you have reached out. Thank you πŸ™‚ Short storyβ€” I left a marriage of 20 years, bought a new house, and I’m just getting settled. Unfortunately, after going round and round, my neighbor will not budge on allowing my silkies.😞

I have lavender pairs, mottled pairs, and a black pair (Red Barn) and several mottled and lavender girls. I do not have the capacity to ship right now or take a gazillion photos as the silkies are residing in the home I still own with my ex. My ex is still planning to keep a few of my favorites for me assuming his new house allows chickens (we are very amicable:-)

DM me if local or willing to drive.

Cheers. I’ve been busy with life so rarely on here these days. I am significantly downsizing due to life/change of priorities. If you are local and looking for mottled and lavender send me a DM. Many will be my breeders or BQ so do not expect PQ prices. I have chocolate and black mottled girls. It is too hot to ship. πŸ™‚

Edited to say: priority goes to those wanting several birds.

Y’all the last box of chicks made it safely!!! 6 days in a box!!!!!!!!! 6 days!!!!! All are alive and spunky 🩷. Thank goodness I pack well.

The box was definitely opened from the bottom and retaped- the bedding, food containers, lights and air tag are all gone, and it was replaced with different bedding. Unsure of the story there, but either way Natalie and I are relieved and shocked.

Still not losing hope. Unsure if the last box is in Memphis still because my AirTag hasn’t updated in 24 hours. I have the postal inspector on the case though and hoping they are there so she can help me.

Update on my babies. This is not worth the stress and I will no longer ship chicks through the mail. I may not ship at all honestly.

1) The older boy arrived safely today. πŸ’›
2) One chick box is in Minnesota but an hour from the customer - she is headed there to do her best to get them. I see them at a regular PO now versus the airport so fingers crossed she can go to the back employee entrance.
3) Other chick box was still in Memphis today 😒, but now no tag updates so hoping on a plane to Georgia.

I’ve contacted the postal inspector at the Memphis hub, but no luck yet. They have been in a box for about 96 hours 😞. Hoping they generate enough heat at 3 weeks old.🀞🏻

I hate USPS. I shipped 3 boxes on Tuesday. The boxes are still in TX (not my city)😒😒. The air tag had no updates for 20 hours and now showing in the same spot. 2 boxes have 3 week old chicks 😒😒. Send prayers and well wishes for the babies.
