🥹 From dumped like trash, to loved and part of the family. 🫶

A few weeks back, the 911 style call came in “7 puppies were just dumped in a dog park. It’s about to storm!” It was 102° and Texas was in the middle of the horrific floods.

Where were we going to put seven puppies with a moments notice?

Without hesitation a kind neighbor, Alex🫶, opened his home to all of them as a temp landing spot. He bought us what our team needed - time. Alex didn’t think about the big bite he’d just taken off🤣 just that he didn’t to help. Alex: we literally could never have done this without you! Thank you💙

From there, we shared with all of you and the community stepped up — sharing them all around town until we had enough foster applications for everyone to have a safe landing spot. 🏡

Our team rushed around doing interview calls and home checks, coordinating supply pick up and transports for each of the babes.

To our foster parents: THANK YOU will never be enough. Y’all just said “come on in!” with no notice and opened your homes and hearts to these little souls.

Now in their foster homes, they are in the middle of their vetting and many of them are already set to be foster-to-adopt, while a couple of them will be available soon. (Mr. Fox says pick me!)

🙏Taking on 7 pups was a huge undertaking for our team and they will all have their exams, dewormer, shots, and spay/neuter and microchip before adoption. 😅

Help us find Penny! She was visiting at a family friend’s home and escaped through a gap in the patio. She was outside for only just a few minutes. 😭

She was last seen wearing a PINK CHECKERED COLLAR. She is also battling some skin issues right now and will have patches of fur missing.

We need everyone in this area to be hyper-vigilant and alert us if you spot her!👀

It is VITAL that you do NOT CHASE her and please help us get the word out right away!

STOLEN DOG - AUSTIN, TX🚨

UPDATE 7/27/25: the vehicle has been recovered.

Help us find Noodles! He was stolen early this morning while inside his dad’s red Honda Civic license plate TX NGC 0023. 🚘

LAST SEEN: 📍South Austin along I-35 between cross streets of Woodward & Oltorf

‼️NEED TO KNOW: With a vehicle theft, Noodles could be anywhere!

The thief could be miles away with Noodles still in the car, or he could have dropped Noodles off along the way.

🙏Please keep your eyes peeled for both the red Honda Civic and/or Noodles!

➡️ Noodles is a friendly but a shy dog and likely traumatized right now. If you see him free, as always with our lost dog cases:

😭 Summer is just really getting started and apparently so is puppy dumping season.

Sensei was abandoned earlier this week, tied to a tree and left in the woods with no food or water in the heat of the Texas July sun. 😡

Thankfully, a kind human stepped up to foster her and said YES to her arrival late in the evening with no experience and a willingness to help.

We can barely catch our breath with the rate we’re going right now and the calls are nonstop.

“A family moved out and left 3 dogs — can you help?”
“There’s a pregnant mama about to burst but everyone is scared of her. Can you come get her?”
“Someone dumped a mama and pups in a field near me. What do I do?”

These are all actual messages just in the last 24 hours alone.

With all nearby shelters, not just Austin, now BEYOND max capacity with the floods — the dumping is worsening by the minute.

Help us keep going. We can’t save them all, but we can sure try.

😡 Who does this?!

Who wakes up and thinks “ya know what a good idea for my day is? Dropping an entire litter of puppies off at a dog park, in 100°, just before a massive storm.”

Well someone did just that today. 🤬

Meanwhile, someone else said hell no, and loaded his car full and has an entire kitchen full of puppies for us overnight. 😭

The good, the bad, the up, the down, the losing all faith in humanity and gaining it back again in a split second — that’s street dog rescue.

Tonight, they are safe and now we are in desperate need of 7 kind humans, or less if you would like to take two or three!, to open their homes to foster this crew.

So far, everyone is very sweet and gentle. We are sure that they would be easily adaptable in any home environment at this point in their lives.

With the recent horrific Central Texas floods, all local physical shelters, who were already maxed out and closed to intake, are now bursting at the seams with flood dogs. There is literally no place to take these animals which means the dumping will increase worse than it already is and our jobs will become 10x the workload. 😫

If there was ever a time, NOW IS THE TIME TO FOSTER!

Note: No on-site adoptions will be happening. You can meet our pups and then submit an app or chat with our team & we can match-make you to one of our many pups who may be a fit for you and your home!
