What. A. Year! š¾
One year ago, Eddie and I hit the road from Austin to launch our KWD LA app with almost nothingājust a dream, grit, and the sheer hope we could make something meaningful over here in our lil slice of the pet industry. No big funding, no backup planājust a vision we believed in. And let me tell you, itās been HARD. There were late nights fixing tech issues, juggling schedules, learning how to manage growth on the fly, and plenty of āAm I doing this right?ā moments...
But hereās the thing: any time doubt crept in, there was a reason to keep going. Whether it was a dogās transformation after weeks of training, a teammate stepping up to save the day while weāre literally 1,000 miles away, orāmost inspiring of allāour doggy clients and their humans rooting for us along the way. So many of the pet parents in our community are entrepreneurs, too - navigating challenges, leading by example, and building something out of nothing. Watching people we love succeed, adapt, and persevere in their element is a MOOD. š„
Shoutout to every dog parent on our roster whoās given us advice, encouragement, support, or even just an uplifting word when we needed it most. I speak for the entire team when I tell you weāre SO happy to be in this together with yāall. and I couldnāt be more grateful to share this path with you.
