… JBSA Ft. Sam Houston alteration shop gave me another Larry David moment. I told them, five or six times, I need a “U.S. NAVY” nametape on this Marine Corps clothing item because I’m a Navy Chaplain attached with the Marines. 🤦🏻♂️

That was fast! Fortunately the truck is going to a great organization which provides active military and veterans a pathway as they aspire to grow in the food industry.

Hey coffee entrepreneurs!
I’ve got to get my coffee truck into the hands of one of you out there who is building your dreams of owning your own coffee shop. This is a great way to get started as you work towards having a brick and mortar store.

Spiritual readiness is the foundation of the .marine.corps values . I’m honored to represent the as for and having moments during training to teach concepts such as mental rehearsals and recalibration so that these infantry Marines are spiritually ready for challenges both on the battlefield and in their personal lives.

Pain is something we all experience in different ways and in varying degrees of severity. Pain might be physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.
I’ve experienced pain in almost every form. The hardest are the painful memories of the loss of relationships and friends who were killed protecting others, all contributing to shattered dreams I once envisioned becoming a reality for my life and theirs.
Through it all, I found coffee and conversations with people who care to be comforts I turn towards to help provide some relief from my pain. I hope that you find those special moments as well.

🚨Closing @ Noon🚨
Today is a somber day.
As a Navy Chaplain it’s my responsibility to support and care for sailors and Marines. This includes their families.
Part of this responsibility includes the heavy task of performing a funeral.
Sadly, we remember the life of 1st Lt. Connor McKim (USMC) who departed this life much too soon.
Connor was with the VT-27 Boomers training squadron in Corpus Christi, Texas working to complete his primary flight training to become a pilot in the Marines.
Whatever you believe or turn to during times of grief, please send love to Connor’s family and fellow Marines.

Devil Dog Coffee Company is a gift from my heart to yours. In 2006, coffee became the drink I turned to which created opportunities for genuine, heartfelt, and significant conversations to occur that led to a deep healing of my soul. Coffee became my wellspring of life.
New and healthy friendships were born from inviting other people to join me at the proverbial well for a cup of coffee. Because of the relationships established from gathering together, sharing coffee, and getting to know each other better, I want to share the joy I have found with each of you. It is my hope and intention that each sip of Devil Dog Cold Brew will bring you closer to reaching out and fostering new and healthy friendships.
Where Does the Name ‘Devil Dog’ Come From?
In 1918, during World War I, the U.S. Marines launched an assault on the Belleau Wood forest in France by crossing a wheat field into oncoming German machine gun fire.
After three weeks of brutal tree-to-tree fighting, including multiple charges on German machine gun nests with fixed bayonets and hand-to-hand combat, and after trading possession of the forest with the Germans six times, the Marines cleared Belleau Wood of the German Army entirely on June 26.
It was here that the Marines nickname "Devil Dog" was born. As the story goes, German officers, in their battle reports, referred to the Marines as "Teufelshunde" (German for "Devil Dogs") as a result of the ferocity with which the Marines fought, and the name stuck. As a Marine (91-99) and others who served in the Marine Corps can attest, we continue to carry this nickname as part of our Marine brother and sisterhood.
