This February, as we move through Black History Month, we’re reminded of the foundations on which Neighbor’s Dog Park was built: community, love, and a spirit of togetherness. Thanks to Lamar, one of our founders, and the supportive community of Austin, our park has become more than just a space for dogs to play – it’s a place where friendships are formed and diversity is celebrated every day.
Our park’s story is one of coming together, of creating a space where everyone, two-legged or four-legged, feels at home. It’s about recognizing the strength in our differences and the bonds that form when we share common ground.
As we take this month to reflect on the history and achievements of the Black community, we also look to the future. We’re inspired to continue fostering a welcoming environment where every visit is about more than just play – it’s about building a community that’s as diverse and vibrant as the neighborhood we call home.
We believe the best way to honor this special month is to live the values it represents all year long. Here at Neighbor’s Dog Park, we’re committed to being a place of inclusivity, respect, and unwavering community spirit.

🐩 Day Pass/Trial Pass will increase to $15 per visit. Note a trial pass is required before a membership can be purchased.
💰 Tipping Policy: For walked tabs, an auto gratuity will be added to card payments to support our team.

As we bid farewell to this year, we want to thank all the furry friends and their humans who have made our dog park a vibrant community spot! As we leap into a fresh new year, we’re wrapping up one of our final maintenance projects to ensure our park remains a top-notch spot for all your paw-some needs. We know it’s stinks but we’ve gotta do it so we can get everything finished, safe, and ready for the New Year. (We’re open 350+ days a year and we try not to close for maintenance — even having guys work overnight.)
That being said, please note that the park will be temporarily closed for a week to complete these updates, but we’ll be back and better than ever, reopening on 01/09/24!
