Watch this in slow motion.

It took me several attempts to perfect this short lob toss. The incredible Kai reaches far to catch it with his mouth. We had such an impressive session back in 2020. I love that guy! It's been about three years since his last jump off the dock diving ramp. His last swim session was with Douglass and Bridgett, just a shallow swim and walk into the beach pool.

I have one copy left for my A+ Pups book! I can mail it in the USA via USPS. I'd love it if my book could make it into schools and classrooms, or a home where Mom values children's learning about dogs and how smart they are. I have one copy of my A+ Pups book left! I can mail it within the USA via USPS. I would love for my book to find a home in schools and classrooms, or with families who value teaching children about dogs and their abilities to learn.

Kenny first connected with me through Victoria Stilwell’s dog trainer academy, and working with him has been a real pleasure.

Kenneth, a school counselor, found Tiger wandering in a parking lot in San Antonio. Tiger is one of the most excitable, overstimulated, high-energy dogs I’ve recently worked with. He now lives in an apartment with two senior mini dachshunds, and his life has changed dramatically since being adopted.

We’ve been training together for six months, and I’m truly impressed with Tiger’s progress and his adoptive dad’s dedication. Here’s a clip of him working through his first indoor store visit, showing off excellent loose leash walking skills. Although he tried to jump and mouth at every mannequin, we took that as as good info and future training there!

This progress highlights how far he’s come and the power of consistent training.

Many puppy owners tend to chase after their pup when they has something it shouldn’t have; and then try to take the object away, which can lead to resource guarding. In the worst cases, the dog might run off with the item and even swallow it.

I always advise new puppy parents to avoid pulling objects out of their puppy’s mouth.

Instead, I recommend doing a trade at minimum until proper training

His owners are concerned because the toys are small and worry he might swallow them. So, we’re gradually teaching him to leave the cat toys alone through short, consistent practice sessions throughout the day.

'Leave it' is a useful command that can be applied throughout your dog’s life.

However, it can be tricky to teach due to some nuances, which is why I’m here to help.

Start crate training your puppy on the very first day at home.

It's a good idea to feed your puppy inside the crate, but keep the door open at first.

Place the food toward the back of the crate.

You can also scatter kibble inside the crate or put a snuffle mat there with the door open.

Say the cue word “crate” just before opening the door, encouraging your puppy to go in because they’re motivated by their meal waiting inside.

Close the door gradually to help your puppy get used to it, but avoid closing it too soon, as it could make training more challenging.
