LOLA's specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating & rehoming dogs and cats with responsible, deserving a

L.O.L.A's Rescue is a 501(c)3 animal rescue organization based in Littleton and Aurora, Colorado. We save as many at-risk animals as possible from uncertain futures. We are always looking for fosters and volunteers, and we take great care of where our dogs go. We are excited to announce the opening of our new Adoption Center in Aurora! Adoption fees:

Meet our adorable 25-pound Chihuahua/Corgi mix who has a whole lot of personality packed into one short-legged little body!

This sweet and sassy girl has some very clear opinions about who belongs in her inner circle. Other dogs? LOVE THEM! ❤️ Adults? ABSOLUTELY! 🥰 Kids? HARD PASS! 🚫👶

We're not saying she hates children... but we're pretty sure she'd give them a one-star Yelp review if she could. ⭐😂

She's the kind of girl who knows what she likes, knows what she doesn't, and isn't afraid to make her feelings known! She's perfectly happy sharing her world with other dogs and grown-up humans, but she'd prefer to leave the tiny, loud, unpredictable humans to someone else.

Dwight’s ears have yet to reach a unanimous decision on what they want to be.

Listed as a Retriever mix, but the Pittie is starting to make his grand entrance, and honestly? We’re here for the whole transformation.

Meet Dwight, the wiggly-butt, stuffie-loving, puppy-kissing professional who seems to think everyone he meets is his new best friend.

This little guy is an absolute DELIGHT. His tail is always wagging, his supply of puppy kisses is never-ending, and his temperament is just as sweet as they come. He loves wrestling with his 75-pound dog friend, has been friendly with every dog he’s met, and is proving to be one smart cookie. He’s food motivated, catching on quickly to training, doing great with potty training, and already sleeping through the night in his crate with no accidents. Seriously, Dwight. Leave some good-boy points for the rest of us!

We haven’t tested him with cats or kids yet, but this sweet, easygoing boy has been winning hearts everywhere he goes.

Now all Dwight needs is a family to love him through every awkward ear phase, every puppy milestone, and every adorable personality reveal.

Someone bought her a cheetah-print collar. Someone, at some point, wanted her. So how did this 6-month-old baby end up alone in a stranger’s yard for THREE DAYS? 💔

Meet Pepper, a 15-pound Staffordshire mix who deserves so much better than the rough start she’s been given.

Despite everything she’s been through, Pepper is incredibly social with people. When she first arrived, her skin scrape tested positive for demodex, but we have some wonderful news: **Pepper is now negative for demodex and healing wonderfully!**

This girl is only six months old. She should be busy playing, learning, and growing up with a family of her own, not waiting for someone to give her a chance.

Pepper has already shown how resilient she is. Now she needs a forever family to give her the love, safety, and happy ending she deserves.

Alright, y’all. It’s time to talk about Sapphire.

Sapphire has been in rescue for THREE YEARS.

You heard that right. Three. Whole. Years.

At this point, we can only assume she’s in witness protection. Maybe she testified against an international tennis ball smuggling ring. Maybe she knows too much about Big Squeaky Toy. We can neither confirm nor deny these allegations.

But here’s what we CAN tell you.

Sapphire came into rescue as a sick little black Pit Bull puppy. Now she’s a full-grown, 3-year-old black Pit Bull who has spent basically her ENTIRE LIFE waiting for someone to take her home.

Three years of growing up. Three years of waiting. Three years of us wondering how this girl is STILL HERE.

And yes, we need to address the elephant in the room: Sapphire needs to be the ONLY pet in her home.

Add in the fact that she’s a black Pit Bull, and, well… the odds haven't exactly been stacked in her favor.

But Sapphire is NOT a list of reasons to scroll past her.

She’s a ridiculously fun, affectionate, toy-obsessed, water-loving, fetch-playing, 60-pound cuddle bug!

Fetch? Absolutely. Water? Get her in there. Toys? She’d like to speak with whoever is responsible for the current inventory because it is simply not enough.

And when she’s done being a professional athlete, she’s happy to clock in for her second career as a full-contact couch snuggler.

She’s potty trained, kennel trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She’s ready for someone to give her the love, structure, and adventures she deserves.

Her wishlist is simple:

🏡 A home where she’s the only pet.
🔒 A secure 6-foot fence.
❤️ Someone who understands that being the right dog for SOMEONE matters more than being the right dog for EVERYONE.

Three years ago, she was a sick puppy who needed saving. Today, she’s an incredible adult dog who has spent her entire life waiting for someone to choose her.

We can’t give her those three years back.

But we can stop making her wait for a fourth.

Sapphire doesn’t need a hundred people to choose her. She needs ONE.

One person with no other pets, a little room on the couch, and a heart big enough to adopt this sweet girl 💖

Meet Kenny, a 2.5 month old boxer dane mix who is 16lbs with cute freckles, big puppy paws & a heart as big as his playful personality!

This lil man works part time as a bucking bronco when he’s not napping the day away. He’ll bounce around playing with his foster sister for approximately 15 minutes, then immediately curl up on your lap or his bed for a nice long nap. It’s hard work being a puppy!

Kenny is doing an amazing job learning & he loves the peace & quiet of his crate when it’s time for a daytime nap or bedtime (so long as he gets his potty/play first). He’s still wrapping his puppy brain around potty training, so he’ll need a little more love & guidance from his future family to master this. But hey, when you’re as food & play motivated as Kenny is, there’s nothing he can’t learn!

He has gotten along amazingly from day 1 with his foster sister. Size doesn’t matter to Kenny when it comes to a playmate - bigger dogs and humans make it even more fun for him to try and keep up!

If you’re looking for a spunky love bug who will make you laugh and will snuggle away the day with you, Kenny is your man!

Everybody say hi to Dallas! 🐶✨ He's a 3-year-old toy Aussie who is already so happy to settle into his new foster home.

His last family said he had "too much energy," but we think he has exactly the right amount for a toy Aussie. You just have to know what you signed up for. 😎

New situations make Dallas a little unsure, but give him a minute and he'll be your best friend. He adores other dogs and has already teamed up with his foster bro, but humans are still his favorite. He'll march right up to you and demand butt scritches and belly rubs, and he is not taking no for an answer. He's also learned fetch and crushes it. Once the zoomies are over, he'll park himself right next to you and stay there. 🥹

Basically, he's a tiny athlete and a professional cuddler in one fluffy package. Stay tuned for more Dallas adventures! 💛

Round TWO of GIANTS is making its way to LOLAs Rescue, and these three are BIG in every sense of the word! All three are already OVER 120 POUNDS, and they still have some weight to gain.

Big, goofy, affectionate, and convinced he belongs wherever his people are. Jedi loves his humans, enjoys his walks, and may or may not believe he’s a lap dog. At 120+ pounds, we’re going to need a bigger lap!

🐾 VIOLET | Smooth-Coated Saint Bernard | Approximately 4 years old

Beautiful, confident, and every bit the giant you’d expect! Violet has done well with other dogs, including Konan, and would do best with compatible canine companions. She’s looking for a home with kids ages 10+ and no cats.

🐾 KONAN | Smooth-Coated Saint Bernard | Approximately 4 years old

Big, confident, and ready for his next chapter! Konan has done well with female dogs and gets along with Violet. He’ll need a home without cats and with a compatible female canine companion.
