Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary Our mission is to give all pets (big and small) a second chance at finding a loving forever home.

h animals with disabilities. We get no grants or any type of funding, but rely on adoption fees, donors, and sponsorships to help continue our work helping the animals that need us. We also conduct fundraisers to raise necessary funds to provide care for our foster animals. We are located in many different areas: Aurora, Oswego, Chicago, Joliet, and even Northwest Indiana. Colbie Lee is a “diamond in the rough”. She is a true gem. She is shy and nervous at first, as she was in the same home for the past 20 years. Her former home cared for as they were taught by her first owner. We can give you her full history if you are interested in possibly adopting her. She has seen the vet and is healthy and free of bird born illness/disease. Her diet was not the best before she came to us. As we earn her trust we are introducing healthier foods. She will need lots of love, patience, and understanding in her new home. Please keep in mind she will need a lot of space. Hello, my name is Donatello (dob around 1/24/24) and I'm searching for my forever home. My life has not been easy. I am a nervous and shy boy, who will need a patient family that will not give up on me, that will keep their commitment to love me for the rest of my life. Please don't judge me on what humans have done to my heart, foster momma and daddy keep telling me that it's not my fault and please, don't let that deter you from possibly loving me. I am a sweet, loyal boy, who loves to feel loved. I love when foster Momma speaks to me in that funny voice and gently reaches out for me to bump her hand, letting her know I accept her in my environment. I love when foster Daddy sits with me as i lay in my high cat tree without a worry in the world because I finally feel safe. Don't get me wrong, I still keep them on their toes by playing with my water and enjoy making a "Donatello splash path" and decorate it with my unique paw art. Foster Mamma calls me an artist and Foster Daddy calmly cleans it up everyday and tells me "as long as you are having fun" and yes! I do have fun. Even though my foster Daddy is a very nice man, I still am afraid of men and am working through that. I would very much like a quiet home where I can be the only loud one, yes! Of course, I love to talk to my humans and I make sure to use my loud voice to make sure they can hear me. I would love a home where I have plenty of places to sun bathe and bird watch, and a couch where I can groom myself peacefully, without having to worry about other fur babies or small humans scaring me into hiding. I love treats, my favorite ones are delectables. But what I want the most is a pet parent that will love me no matter what life throws at them. If you move, I want to move with you, if I'm not feeling my best, please help me feel better and please don't throw me away, I don't think my heart can take that trauma once more.

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, and have a microchip. I also have an amputated tail due to the severe trauma done to it. My adoption fee is $150. Jigsaw is an ornery 5 yr old male who was allowed to bully members of his former family. His foster mom has struggled to change. In his former home, he only liked the man in the household who use to hand feed him. He terrorized his wife with consistent hissing and open mouth threats to bite. When given the chance he will. He is on a consistent diet of greens and worms, which his foster mom has finally gotten him eating on his own. Other than his bad attitude he's rather healthy. Jigsaw needs an experienced owner, with the patience of a saint. This is Feather and Fern, they are two society Finch sisters. Exact age is unknown they came from a group of 10 The girls are missing feathers around their neck they have been to an exotic vet who said they're in good health the loss of feathers was probably from stress in their previous situation, sibling plucking or over grooming. Feather and Fern are very bright cheerful chirpy little girls and will definitely liven up any household. Adoption fee is $40 for the pair. Momo (brown, black and white) and Mimi are a beautiful mother and daughter pair who are approximately 5 years old. They enjoy a variety of fresh veggies daily and will take treats from your hand. They are a sweet and mellow bonded pair. Momo (the mom) is a great cuddle bug while Mimi likes nothing better than snuggling in her cozy fleece tunnel.

Meet Wednesday (estimated DOB 6/1/24), a playful silly kitten with a big personality in a little body. She is up to date with vaccination, microchipped and spayed. Wednesday was bottle fed from 2 week sold when shew as found under a trailer very weak and lethargic with a 50/50 chance to make it. But she was quite the fighter and made it. She does well with other animals and kids. She is ready to find her forever home.

Likes: toilet paper, playing, food and chaos

Dislikes: vacuums and being told what to do

Meet Bingo. His date of birth is 9/24/23 and he is 56 pounds. He is learning everything for the first time and needs confidence. He will need a patient and understanding family. He does have some separation anxiety due to a rough beginning in life. He can be left alone for several hours but prefers to be with his human and cuddle.

Would be a perfect dog for someone that works from home.

Loves nylabones and catch. Walks well on a leash and is potty trained He has lots of energy and would do well with another dog his size

Meet Captain America! Captain America is a 7 year old eyelash crested gecko with a bold personality and a tail that's slowly growing back after a heroic escape (or so we like to imagine). He's a bit jumpy, always ready to leap into action, and absolutely loves climbing - whether it's the side of his age, the branches, or anything he can grip. When he's not on patrol, you'll find him lounging in his cozy little hideout. With his expressive eyelash like crests and fearless spirit, Captain America is a tiny but mightly reptile who's always ready for his next adventure!

Introducing Domino and Orion. They are two bonded male rats approximately one year old (the people that surrendered them did not have an exact date of birth) These boys are very sweet very curious and social. Whatever you are doing they would like to be a part of They were not fed the healthiest of food in their previous home so right now they are on Oxbow adult rat food, with a few healthy treats in the morning and the evening, they also have hay in their cage for munching. Meatball is a 1.5 year old dwarf hamster. He loves his wheel and food. Baby carrots are his favorite and rearranging his cage.

Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary is a non profit foster home based animal rescue run by volunteers. Our volunteers donate their time outside of their full time jobs and family to help animals in need.
