We might say cute things about our dog's weight, or even think that a few extra pounds won't really hurt.

But the truth is that being overweight significantly increases their risk of developing and managing their weight is the BIGGEST thing you can do to help the dogs in your life stay healthy, active, and pain-free.

Do you know the 6 biggest risk factors for ? Check them out below!

1. Breed. The breeds most likely to be overweight are , , , , ( and ), , and breeds.

2. If they are spayed or neutered

3. Their age

4. Their activity level

5. If they are free-fed (can eat whenever they want to)

6. Too many high-calorie treats or high-fat food!
