This is Bandit… he is quickly becoming one of my favorite success stories 💛🐾
The first visit 3/24, I was barely able to get a bath done… no blow dry, no brush out, no haircut… not even nails trimmed or ears cleaned. He was very reactive. It broke my heart. But I saw his potential.
Second visit 4/27, bath, blow dry and shave down completed… not able to do hand sc******ng, nails or face… I had to stop while there was still at least SOME trust. Fighting him wouldn’t have built any rapport, trust or comfort between us.
Last groom 6/8, he didn’t need a body haircut, as he was still pretty short. Paw pads shaved, nails dremeled, ears cleaned, feet and face trimmed (I even got the little hairs under his nose! 😆🥳) and some evening out of the legs done.
Looking him in the eyes, I could see and feel the warmth and hope in his heart and mine. He gave me kisses (I returned them). Didn’t try to bite. I’m so proud of my little Bandit (he stole my heart) and I can’t believe how quickly we’ve been able to make this much progress. I love what I do and these doggies and their humans are what makes it this fulfilling. Love, trust and communication between all of us makes it work 🥰
