This past Thursday, the 16th, we laid Tibbs to rest. To say it was a difficult decision is an understatement but, he told us it was time.
Anyone who knew Tibbs, knew he had a heart of gold. Although he was old, he always tried and loved to be loved on. His favorites were peppermints and his daily grooming by his students. Tibbs enjoyed taking small adventures out and being able to enjoy teaching the next group of horse lovers. He especially loved when he first got to chase cows, he would nicker back to everyone and tell them what he was doing.
Tibbs came to the barn with Colonel his best friend. Colonel passed away a few years back and you could see that Tibbs missed his friend. He loved Colonel and they were inseparable, had been together for most of the lives if not all of it.
Tibbs was special. Special to so many. He was many students firsts. First rides, first trots, first lopes, first everything and those memories will not be forgotten. He is already greatly missed and will be greatly missed by many here.
If you have any pictures or memories of Tibbs and would like to share, you are welcome to.
