Well, when plans fall apart, having low/no cost alternatives keeps things going. Everything is in its place. Squash, potatoes, jalapeƱos, Anaheim chili, tomatoes, onions, cabbage, red & green bell peppers, sage, lavender, rosemary, kidney beans, black beans, and cannellini beans. When the onions are done, there'll still be time for broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and lettuce. Total cost: less than $350 (needed the garden soil this year). Next year, if I plant the same things in the same space, it'll cost less than $50.

Join me in this mission!

Less than $60 (most spent on the little greenhouse that will last forever) and we have 16 tomato plants, 8 sweet pepper plants, 4 jalapeƱo pepper plants, 4 Anaheim chili plants, 4 cabbage plants, a 5 lb bag of russet seed potatoes, and a 1 lb bag of seed yellow onions. Based on average Michigan yields, this is more than 200 lbs of veggies. You sure you don't want to be a part of this? We'll even foot the bill for the same size start-up.

In search of portable coat racks (like the one pictured here). We can pay a SMALL amount, but donations are best. Check your churches, attics, basements, whatever and see if you have them. Also accepting the materials (especially the pipes) from which we can build our own. They will be a vital part of this mission.

Also need any 5 gallon or empty cat litter buckets, compost, and topsoil anyone can donate.
