Hello! We are looking for a driver for transport on Friday leaving from Augusta Animal Services to either Athens or Toccoa (will know soon, travel times are between 2&3 hrs one way, and because of the heat, you will be required to keep the cats in your car until called upon for loading). Currently we have 23 kittens and 1 cat who have been accepted by rescues up North from the CSRA, and there may be more added before Friday. This would be in your own car, so a SUV type vehicle is required. You MUST be willing to crank the A/C so the kittens have cool air flow, we can provide you with some gas money. This is a joint effort with other rescues in the area and we sure could use your help!

In early May, our organization received a call regarding a distressed kitten dragging itself across the ground at a trailer park community. Upon arrival, rescue personnel encountered Sara Lee, the kitten's protective mother, who approached us with a severe limp. Both animals were taken into rescue and assessed by our veterinarian, revealing that Sara Lee had a bad sprain and her kitten, who thankfully had no broken bones, just required cage rest and monitored physical activity. Now fully recovered, Sara Lee is ready for a forever home. She is FIV positive, but not aggressive and can cohabitate with FIV negative cats. She is currently in this model in her foster home. Welcome to FOF!
Gingerbread and her 2 kittens were caught in a neighborhood and surrendered. Mama will be headed for TNR tomorrow and the kittens will be quarantined, vetted and put up for adoption. Thank you for the caring person that reached out and is also covering the cost of the TNR! She will then be relocated for barn placement.

🐱🐾 Kittens have exploded all over the CSRA but our adult kitties need homes too. Binx summons his inner turtle 🐢🐢🐢most of the day, but at night he comes and seeks me out for cuddles 🥰. Binx came from a very busy household with lots of kids and is used to dogs and other cats but I think he would flourish in a quieter household which is more his pace. He enjoys his peace and quiet. His family moved to Germany and they only had a two pet limit. Since Binx was the youngest, he was surrendered to the rescue. He is a sweet, sweet boy looking for his new home. He is a beautiful dark chocolate brown. Tonight he came and sat with me and that's the first he's done that since being. He is 2 years old and he is up to date on all his vetting.
