Friendly neighborhood groomer announcement. 😅

I am a one-woman show, not a call center.

I do not send reminder calls or reminder texts for appointments. If you called, texted, or messaged me to make an appointment, please write it down somewhere. Put it in your phone, on your fridge, tattoo it on your forehead… whatever works. 😂

I also do not answer my phone after 4 PM, on weekends, or holidays. If you text or call me at 8 PM on a Saturday of a holiday weekend, please understand I’m not ignoring you. I’m simply off work and enjoying my life just like everyone else.

When I’m grooming, my focus is on the dog in front of me, not my phone. So if I don’t answer immediately, please be patient. I promise I’ll return your call or text as soon as I can.

I know this isn’t the “big corporate business” way of doing things, but Dog Shoppe is still a small mom-and-pop operation, and that’s exactly how I like it.

Thanks to all of my awesome clients who understand, support small business, and remember their own appointments. ❤️🐾

Meet Yeti 🤍🐾

I’ve been grooming this doodle boy for several years now… and let me tell you — he did NOT always love the process 😂

Dryer? Still a hard no.
He’s an active, busy, “I’ve got better things to do” kind of guy… so we keep him in a short, low-maintenance cut so he can live his best wild child life 🌪️

But here’s the glow-up…

He used to hate grooming.
Now??
✔️ Jumps right in the tub when I ask
✔️ Hops up on the table like a pro
✔️ And most days doesn’t even need kenneled

He just claims the extra chair like he owns the place and waits for dad to come scoop him up 🤣💜

And huge kudos to his people 👏
Keeping him on a regular grooming schedule is exactly why he’s learned to tolerate (and mostly accept 😆) the process and build a relationship with me. That consistency makes ALL the difference.

Yeti has truly turned into one of my favorite doodle boys to groom. Watching these dogs grow, learn, and trust the process over time is the best part of what I do 🐩✨

A quick scheduling update for all clients:

No-shows and late arrivals have a significant impact on my schedule and the experience of other clients. To keep things running smoothly and respectfully for everyone, I will be implementing the following policies:

• No-show appointments will be subject to a fee
• Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may need to be rescheduled and may also incur a fee

⚠️ IMPORTANT SCHEDULING UPDATE:
Saturday appointments are EXTREMELY LIMITED and I am phasing out of Saturdays.

👉 If you can make a weekday drop-off work… please do. It helps keep things running smoothly and gives you better availability.

I truly value your time, and I ask for the same consideration in return. Staying on schedule allows me to provide the best service to each and every client.

He's the sweetest ween I've ever met !!!

He isn't crazy about being dried. So we leave his little ears damp 💖 Mom said it was ok 💜

Clean, calm and comfortable is our motto here!!
