Weller had a FANTASTIC weekend last week staying on Monhegan Island. He is such a perfect island dog! Unfortunately I got sick while there and am just getting around to posting this haha
I was expecting him to draw attention, but I was blown away with how much of a little local celebrity he became. He was getting recognized and greeted by name constantly, and just continued making new friends the whole time. I would sometimes even hear people point him out like “oh, that must be that papillon mix!” I learned to recognize the look of someone who wanted to greet him, and was constantly breaking away from my friends to chat with a stranger about him for a few minutes, I got to have so many lovely convos about the VS project and dog breeding in general.
I’m already well aware of what an incredible dog Weller is, but it’s still so encouraging to hear strangers affirm it. “What a great dog,” “So even tempered!” and “You should make a designer breed of these!” absolutely warmed my heart. People were curious about his breeding and excited about the breeding program, and I love getting to share our little corner of the dog world with others. And he loves making new friends!

We love a bombproof dog 🥰 Happy happy pride everyone, Weller had a blast snuggling strangers and handing out pride kandi. I nearly cried when a kiddo no older than 10 wearing trans flags head to toe picked out a trans bracelet and said “it matches my flag!” PROTECT TRANS YOUTH 🥹🏳️‍⚧️

Updates on the beautiful babies Poki and Weller made 💕🦖🦕 I love them all so much and it makes me so incredibly happy to see them thriving with their wonderful families!

Now that they’re approaching 6 months of age, we wanted to share updates from The Dinosaurs. This is a good time to check-in with everyone, you know, before they all hurdle face-first into adolescence and turn into teenage dirtbags. And just like that, I’ve got a puppy school graduate! 5 weeks flew by! Teenage brain definitely kicked in during “leave it” practice (she still worked through it and remembered what to do) but then she ROCKED LLW and even offered some heeling!
Huge thank you to Positively Best Friends, Smile got to learn her foundations in a wonderful, controlled environment and had a ton of fun the whole time 💕
