Quick reintroduction for our new followers. I’m Micah Bayless: The owner/ operator of Bluestem Ranch Horses. I’ve had a passion for starting 2 year olds since I was a kid. I’ve spent years trying to be a sponge. Absorbing as much knowledge and technique as I can to set myself aside from other c**t starters and provide a service that goes above and beyond your run of the mill 2 year old program. I offer a foundation that is universal in terms of your long term goals. In order to succeed to it’s full potential, a horse must have a good start. I start each horse as an individual. My standards are the same for each horse but how i get them to meet those standards is carefully and strategically adjusted to cater each individual animal. It’s been a great 2 year old season. We’ve played a part in a lot of horses success over the past year. As always, I’m going to take August and September to focus on some of my own horses before kicking off again on client horses. I thought I’d share a few specifics about my program before people start calling about next years 2 year olds.
* Training is $1300.00 a month
* I will have a contract that must be signed starting next year. I’m not crazy about the thought of a contract. But I do need to protect myself in the odd chance that something would happen.
* I will have a 60 day minimum going forward.
* I have a $200.00 nonrefundable Deposit due upon scheduling your 2 year olds. This deposit will be credited to your training and is only a security deposit to encourage clients to be mindful of my schedule.
* We only accept 2 year olds to start. Which means that the next set of horses we will be accepting will be horses born in 2024. No aged horses for c**t starting.
