Sunday appreciation post for the one behind the scenes. She’s raises the kids, takes the pictures, gives sound advice, listens a lot, brings us hot coffee on cold days, and makes sure dinner is on when I come home late. I couldn’t do what I do without her and I’m sure thankful she’s my partner.

• SJP MAJESTIC BLUE • 2024 Blue Roan Gelding •

Here’s a PRETTY one! Raised and owned by Shane Prill. I’ve started several horses for Shane over the last couple years. They’re always blue roan and sharp! This c**t is no exception. He’s been in our program for a little over 30 days and we’ve already been paid for his next 30 days of training. The Prill’s own this c**ts sire and dam. His daddy is 15 hands and a good horse. He’s currently in calf horse training and is showing lots of promise. His mother stands 15 hands as well and came from Krogman Quarter Horses in South Dakota. She’s a big soggy mare and has passed that down to this c**t. This gelding has lots of feel and is going to be strong. He’s got all the bone and substance to make a phenomenal ranch horse and all the run and talent to be rope horse material as well. He’s gentle, stands to trim, bathe and saddle. He currently has 15 rides and is being ridden every day. He’s never wanted to buck or be bad. If you’re looking for a c**t that’s reasonable and will be ready to go do whatever you choose, here he is.

• He’s straight legged and 100% in every way •

He costs $9500 and that includes his training through January 1st.

We are going into another busy season of starting 2 year olds. My phone rings every day with people wanting to send horses to be ridden. Which is a huge blessing!

I just wanted to let all of our followers know that as of January 1st, our monthly training wage is going up to $1500 a month. We will obviously honor our previous rate to any customers that have already committed to sending a horse. This only applies to horses that have not already been scheduled.

We are so thankful that people want to send us horses so badly. And we look forward to another great set of 2 year olds this year! We are proud of the service we have to offer and it excites us to see horses coming out of our program going on to do great things!

Lots of good horses have been made trailing a cow on the ranch. Training with a purpose. My personal experience is that when there is a job to get done, we spend less time nit picking. We get what we want and we let them travel and soak. It’s a good mindset to have in the arena as well. Remembering the practical application and giving the horse a reason to ride.

DIXIE LAND DELIGHT - 2024 sorrel filly by My Life’s Delight (x CD Lights) and out of an Imapeppysandoc mare. This filly is cute and correct in every way. She’s an elegant mover and has lots of potential on a cow. She’s halter broke and gentle and is a blank slate for someone to go on with. She’s 100% sound, straight and clean legged, and blemish free. She ought to mature to be 14.2-3 and thick. If you’re looking for a prospect for the cow events that’s got all the potential in the world, here she is. My ONLY reason for selling her is that I have plenty of horses going into winter and I generally tend to let my fillies go before my geldings. Movement videos available upon request.
