“Mistress” has been here 7 months. She’s to a point now where I feel like I can start expecting her to be accountable for how she carries herself. Starting c**ts is an art. Taking one to the next level is also an art. We can’t ride a young horse like a young horse their whole life. We have to constantly be striving for “straightness” and “simplicity”. No manipulation or tweaking. It’s as simple as, I pull and kick and you find the right answer.

Yes we start a lot of 2 year olds. But we are thankful that people are also trusting us to take them to the next level. Thank you to the Stellpflug family for their continued business.

This gelding is going to go become a rope horse. We’ve enjoyed having him around and we are thankful for Christian Fischer leaving him with us. Look forward to seeing him down the road.

This c**t is starting to tie the bridle reins to his feet. Lacks some refinement but at this stage, it would be unfair to expect otherwise. I’ve had him 50 days. I’m happy with his progress.

Here’s one that’s a little different than usual. I took this 5 year old gelding in for training here about 40 days ago. He was green as grass and needed some help. This gelding is making progress and I’ve enjoyed the challenge. Owned by Steve Flach.

Nothing horse related today. Got away from the livestock for a little steak dinner. Lish does a lot behind the scenes and rarely gets (or wants) credit. But she’s the backbone of our family and deserves credit for our business. Those that know her, know she’s the best.
