We were honored to be asked to participate in Kendall and Quasar’s wedding at the NH Highland Games today. They requested our wolfhounds specifically and their young son was delighted! We will share more photos soon, but we wanted to congratulate the happy couple ❤️

Poor Vivian is still recovering from her injuries sustained by the car accident (there were some complications that have hindered a speedy recovery) but she made it to the NH Highland Games today! She had many fans stop by to give her some TLC; this extremely kind gentleman happily let her use him as a pillow for almost an hour!

Meet the Highlanders!

The last to be featured in this series, but absolutely not the least, is our dear president, Kate. Though we joke that we only convinced her to join because she came with our first two wolfhounds (Shelagh and the famous Muldoon), Kate has led us for several years and has helped to greatly expand the Historic Highlanders encampment.

In addition to being Keeper of the Hounds and Master of the Woof, Kate is also a talented weaver, sewist, harp player and storyteller. She even debuted our latest offering on-site this weekend at Loon Mountain: a fully set-up loom where you can not only watch how Scots made their famous fabrics, but you can try it yourself! If you ever visit our site, definitely take the time to chat with Kate: whatever the topic, you’ll be rewarded with a fun conversation.

Meet the Highlanders!

Despite his incredibly Dutch name, Arent is a devoted member of this very Scottish gang. Ever since joining alongside his mum (our fearless leader, Kate) several years ago, Arent has become a fixture on-site, enthusiastically educating the public about Scottish military history, as well as the ancient and noble breed of the Irish wolfhound; you’ve got a question, he’s got the answer, and it will always be an entertaining one! Arent also serves as the group quartermaster amongst our officers; in other words, he is master of the stabby things ⚔️
