Boy did the rabbits not disappoint! Table wrote so photos tomorrow of the buns! Exciting to see how they really came into their own. Still learning the art of timing on breeding to get the best juniors. Blacks did well and got in the top 20. Deepest and most competitive class. Shout out to the BOB winner Junior black doe, so the competition was tough for them. It was a hard year for them since they got back burned for the lilacs and torts. Chocolates did well even though I brought them on one of the 363 days they aren’t in coat. My single blue boy placed in top 10. The one NP blue doe was the last NP. To be fair, she has milk on her face and was a sub for a friends rabbit who decided to give herself a bald spot before convention. So proud of her because she was a last minute pull. She needs a new barn if anyone is interested! I really want to thank Jilleen Elizabeth Pfaff and Bruce Blakely for providing me with some amazing breeding stock. Also Jill for the mentorship in Dutch. She is taking a beautiful lilac tort buck which is the highest compliment a mentor can give you.

Photos are of the signs I made for CDRC. Art work by one of our youth members. I made some rabbits but it’s more modern art and a bit abstract. I still can place stickers and block write so others can read. Feel proud of my elementary school learning!

RDPR Crossing the Rubicon really came into his own this weekend. 2/3 shows he got BOSB out of 70+ Dutch. Some extremely nice convention bound rabbits. Two very different judges as well. His brother did well at the Puyallup Fair. Two weeks later he has grown into himself. Still very young, but this little man will be at convention. So will his brother. Really putting into place all of the Dutch who will be going.

After a year working on Lilac and Tortoise we are back to Black! Cute little Black Doe. Baby fuzz aside, we are eating and working on molting that fuzz for convention! Forgive the toy, The child has them everywhere.

His name is Pig Pen. This is his house. This is his face. He is mad that the rabbit version of “Hoarders” is coming through to burn down his 8 weeks of work. He reminds me that “winter is coming” and in the long dark cold of winter he will make his space to his liking once again.
