A few pups frolicking in the meadows and many more hitting the beach 🏖️ but all of them leave the beauty salon with tails wagging! 🐾

Along with a little bit of an ask from me - I genuinely love and appreciate you all so much, so please do not think I am calling anyone out! This summer has been filled with reschedules very close to pups appointment dates, which makes it hard for me to fill that spot. Because of this and in full transparency, it’s been a little bit of a struggle on my end 😅 I am passionate about grooming, but it’s also my full time job and how I pay for my dogs snacks (and a few other important things, lol). If you know you’ve got a vacation coming up, I’d so appreciate if you double check that your pups appointment doesn’t fall on the same week. If it does then that’s typically no problem to change it, but a good heads up would be so helpful! Thank you all for your continued support, I truly am so grateful 💞

I wish all the pups a safe and quiet holiday - if anyone spooks them with fireworks, let them know that your dog groomer wants to have a conversation…haha, kidding…kind of 😅 enjoy the weekend, everyone! ✨

Happy summer 🌞 Spring seems to have gone just as soon as it arrived! It certainly is hot outside now and may only get hotter, so remember to keep your pups cool. A dogs body temperature is higher than a humans (meaning they will feel even hotter than you do). Ice cube snacks and cooling blankets help, and doggy crocs may look silly/cute but they will help to protect your pups paws on hot surfaces 🐾

Swimming is great, too! I hope some pups get to have some fun in the sun and water, just keep in mind that if your dog has hair that tangles, water without a good brush and comb everywhere after is one of the biggest culprits of tight mats forming 🌊

Teddy got his first big boy haircut today (second photo) and is wondering if he did a good job and looks handsome? 🛁 ✂️

He was so curious during his first visit (first photo), but also very nervous about all of the new things he was learning and being introduced to. Instead of a perfect haircut, he got more of an introduction to grooming while he was allowed the time and space to become more familiar with the grooming process and tools involved. This can make all the difference in a pup becoming comfortable with grooming in the long run! Today he came in excited, remembered that grooming isn’t scary, and left happy, sleepy, and with his face a bit more cleaned up. I think he did fantastic for only his second time in a grooming salon 🥰

Don’t let the barking pictures fool you - Dottie just likes to talk, she is very sweet and gives great hugs! But if she gets a bath, then anyone within an at least 3 foot radius gets a bath too, lol! 🛁 At least you’ll get to hear the song of her people while she helps clean you up! ⚫️⚪️💕

The Bubbly Puppy now has a limited amount of bath only spots (for short-haired dogs who do not need haircutting) open for those looking to be put on a rotating schedule! Double-coated dogs who would like an outline trim are also welcome 🐾

I’ve been having the best time pampering your babies 💅💝 and even meeting some cute new faces!

ps…if you see me walking around town with my dog in a stroller and you’re thinking “I’m sure that dog would rather walk, why is she pushing her in a stroller?!”, she hurt her leg but I still want her to be able to go on “walks” and get some fresh air. Spring is springing and we should all be able to appreciate the warmth and admire the vibrant flowers! 🌼🌿🌸

The first few weeks back at it have been amazing! I am incredibly thankful to be able to see all of my favorite dogs who make my days brighter, and have been having the best time giving them love (and cleaner hair 🛁)! That wouldn’t be possible without all of their awesome parents who I am equally as grateful for, so thank you!! 💗

I hope everyone and their dogs have been doing well 😌. If you’re still looking for another groomer to help your pup while I am away, my friend Caitlin (who some of may recognize from grooming at her physical location) is now offering some mobile grooming services on her own!

*Please note that Caitlin does not yet offer bathing and haircut services for dogs, but she does offer full grooming services for cats! She offers nail trims and mini groom/touch up services for dogs as specified below.

Thank you so so so much to everyone who has helped make The Bubbly Puppy such a fun, happy, and safe space for both myself and your pups. I’ve genuinely had the best time getting to take care of and build a relationship with both you and your dogs. I will seriously miss every one of them!

I believe I’ve let everyone know, but if you are confused by this post so far, then I have some news! I will be closing up the salon for the foreseeable future so that my dog Stevie and I will be able to travel and hike the country while we are both physically able. Whatever happens, I’m sure it will be an extraordinary experience that I feel so lucky and grateful to be able to take on. A big part of being able to do this is thanks to your support!

It’s been amazing watching some dogs start off very nervous/fearful of the grooming process and seeing them gain the trust that they needed to feel comfortable and confident. There is nothing more rewarding, and I hope that they carry some of that confidence to their next groomer. Thank you all for your trust in me, it truly means the world!
