Hi, my name is Katie! 🐾 I’m a 1-year-old rescue. When I first started training, I was pretty nervous—I would bark and react whenever people or dogs went by our porch or house, and if someone tried to pet me, I would panic.

We vacation with friends who have dogs often, so my family really wanted me to be able to interact with them. Over 8 lessons, I learned my basic commands like Sit, Down, Place, Stay, Come, Leash Walking, Leave It, Drop It, and Crate. I also practiced staying calm around distractions and built confidence so I don’t feel the need to react to everything or panic when someone reaches to pet me.

Thanks to training, I’m starting to relax and enjoy the world around me instead of being afraid of it. Now I get to share new experiences with my family and their dog-loving friends! 🐶💜

Hey, my name is Maxine! I’m a 3-month-old Golden Retriever, and I just finished my 3-lesson package! In my training, I worked on socialization, gentle play, calm behavior instead of barking for attention, and sharing my special items. I also learned some really cool skills like Sit, Down, Place, not bolting out doors, and even started leash walking! Obedience is just the beginning of my journey, and I’m already off to a great start!

When we punish dogs for growling, even if they're growling at our child, we aren't helping them feel better about whatever it is that is threatening them. Instead, we are teaching to stop letting us know when they feel unsafe.

The result? A dog who stops giving us warning signs and "bites out of the blue."

And, that's how we create dangerous dogs. I'd much rather have a dog growl and tell me they're upset (so we have a chance to intervene and help them) than a dog who just bites without any warning signs.

Hey friends! I’m Gunnar, an 8-month-old Great Dane, and yes—I’m already tall enough to lean over the counters! I just completed the 8 lesson package and it was a blast! My humans wanted to be able take me out in public, stop my jumping, pawing for attention, and taking things off the counter.

Now I’ve got better manners and can hang out in public like a pro. Life’s pretty great when you’re a polite gentle giant! 🐶💙
