Can you believe this cutie pie was living on the streets in South Dallas? She had a massive tumor about the size of closed fist on the top of her head. Her hair was long and matted. A Good Samaritan captured a photo of her on the street (literally standing in overgrowth on the side of the road) and a desperate plea was sent out to help her. One of our wonderful clients couldn’t get her image out of her head and made the hour trip to go rescue her. Her exam revealed that she she has suffered from obvious neglect, not only from the massive tumor on her head, but she also had untreated, chronic ear infections in the past. She went right into surgery to remove the tumor and here is the good news: it was benign! She has been named Bunny and our team has really fell in love with her adorable personality! Dr. Sammons said she is approximately 7 years old. She loves other dogs and walks amazingly on a leash. She hasn’t had any accidents in her kennel at our clinic. She is bubbly and is full of energy! We are now trying to find her a loving home! If you are wanting to know what breed she is, well…she is a Cutie Pie. 🥰 She weighs less than 25 lbs, so she is small. She is spayed and fully vetted. There is no adoption fee, however we will be requesting a veterinary reference and a home inspection to ensure she will have the best life possible. If you are interested in meeting Bunny, please call our clinic at 940-365-9384. Be prepared to fall in love!

Brody is back at our clinic looking for a forever home. He was adopted back in October, but sadly his new family has decided they can’t keep him. He was rescued from a very sad domestic situation where he wasn’t safe back in September. Your very own Dr. Sammons fully vetted him and he is in foster care with one of our staff members. He loves people (little and big), dogs and cats. He is full of energy and loves to play. He would do best in an active home! He also rides great in the car and loves to be the co-pilot! He is housebroken and crate trained. He must go to a home where he is allowed to live inside and has a fenced yard. He is a Doodle (Standard Poodle mix) and is 3-4 years old. He is being currently treated for a skin allergy, so whomever adopts him must be aware that similar to human allergies, he could have an occasional “flare up” that is totally treatable. There is no adoption fee, however a vet reference and home visit will be requested. We only want the best for Brody! If interested, please message us or call the clinic at 940-365-9384.

One of our clients is desperately seeking a loving, new home for this recently adopted puppy. Due to her unexpected medical issues, she can no longer keep him. His name is Locki and he is 3 1/2 months old. He is current on vaccines and his current owner will cover his neuter surgery. He loves other dogs and is crate and house trained. He currently uses a doggie door too! He is very active and loves to play. Because of his activity level, he would do best in a home with children ages 5 and up. He is believed to be a Border Collie and Blue Heeler mix. If you are interested in adopting him, there is no adoption fee but you must reach out to his current owner. Her name is Arlene and her cell is 310-408-0777. He is NOT at our clinic but lives in Aubrey with Arlene.

Hetti: This is my OOTD. I’m boarding here and thank goodness my mom brought my wardrobe, which includes a raincoat, a Sherpa lined jacket and an assortment of fashionable sweaters. I go home today after almost a week and it’s a good thing because being the boss around here is EXHAUSTING! 🤣
We love you, Hetti! ❤️

We thought you needed to hear a “happy” story, so here’s ours:
Not all hero’s wear capes, some wear black fur! Marvin donated life saving blood, not once but twice, to this sweet kitty that was critically ill. Without this blood transfusion, the outcome looked bleak for our sweet Allen. Allen still needs plenty of prayers, but he is already responding wonderfully to his blood transfusion. ❤️

Important Announcement:
Recently the Texas based microchip manufacturer, Save This Life, ceased operations with no prior notice. We are asking all our clients to review your pet’s medical records to see if this company registered and manufactured your pet’s chip. Please free to call our office if you need assistance with this research. If your pet is registered with Save This Life, it is imperative that you register with an alternative pet recovery service such as Fi Nano. If you fail to re-register, you will not be contacted if your pet becomes lost since this company is no longer in existence. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you, but want to ensure that you are aware and can take action to keep your pet in a national registry.

We are beyond touched and honored that this Girl Scout Troop (5365) raised money for our stray animal medical fund for their Bronze Award Project. Dr. Sammons and her staff have a huge heart for strays in our community and have taken on many that needed dire medical attention. Not only did they get the medical attention they needed, but homes were found for each one thanks to our amazing community. We are so grateful for this donation and the support of these very special young ladies!

Ivory is in charge today at the clinic. And in case you are wondering, her hair stylist is Erica, our groomer. 😊

Daffy’s Christmas Wish List:
1. For Mom to never close a door again. Bathroom, laundry, pantry. All must remain open for my supervision.
2. Treats. All Day.
3. 10 new balls to immediately be lost under the couch.
4. For Mom to stop talking to other dogs. Even cute ones. Especially cute ones.
5. For more room on Mom’s bed. I need more rest sometimes.
6. The vacuum to go live somewhere else. Far, far away.
7. For Santa to bring more presents and take the cat.
8. For Mom to never leave the house again. Christmas miracle, please.
9. For a car ride to not end at the vet’s. I LOVE Dr. Sammons and her chicks, but I want just good car vibes. Windows down. Tongue out.

🎄Merry Christmas! From all of us at Country View Animal Hospital!

Update: These sweet boys found the perfect home and got adopted TOGETHER! They will never go without a meal again and will have plenty of love! They are on their way to North Carolina and will live on 1.5 acres! Their Christmas miracle was heard and answered! Thank you to all who shared their story.

Praying for a Christmas Miracle.🙏
These two sweet dogs were dumped in a very rural area north of Whitesboro. They were discovered looking for food in an open field. 😢Both were underweight and it was obvious they had been out on their own for a long time. Dr. Sammons did an exam on both dogs and has said they are approximately 2 years old and are obvious littermates. They are the BEST breed around- Mixed! 🤣 They have been named Bo and Luke. Luke is a bit smaller than Bo. Both get along with other dogs and cats. They are crated during the day while their foster family is at work. They have no accidents in their crate. We are desperately trying to find them a loving home. They DO NOT need to be adopted together. They LOVE to be outside and to play! They will be fully vetted, including neutered. We aren’t asking for an adoption fee-just a loving home for them. We ask that you share this post to anyone you know that can give them a home. *If you would like to meet them, please message us. Their foster mom is one of our staff members and she can bring them to the clinic for a Meet and Greet.
