Available adult female basenji - Happy is 3 years old. She takes a little time to warm up to new folks. Someone with a rescue background would be her perfect adopter. She has lived her entire life with me, so no worries that something tramatic happened to her. She didn't care for the show ring, so she stayed home with me. She can be unsure in new situations but once you win her trust, (treats speed that process along) she's like a marshmallow. She loves to run in the backyard. If it's nice outside, she doesn't always want to come back in! She is good in a crate, walks well on a leash. She is spayed and current on vaccinations.
No cats, other female dogs or fluffy dogs. She has a high prey drive. Her ideal home would have a basenji boy to run and play with and show her the ropes, although she would do fine by herself. If interested, please email us at [email protected].

Off on new adventures!

We have decided to retire a couple of our basenji ladies. They have worked for us showing, and giving us the next generation of Spring Willow kids. We would like to give them a couch of their own. They deserve to be treated like the spoiled princesses they are.
Both Fizzy and Vivian would do best with a male dog or as the only dog in the home. Definately no small dogs or cats. They love people, other critters, not so much. They are crate trained, and walk well on a lead. These girls would prefer to lie next to you on the couch or snuggle up with you in bed. Located in NE Ohio and you would be responsible for transport.
