The Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter (FAAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization, who donates our time and hearts to the Cats and Dogs in Attleboro and surrounding communities. We are committed to nurturing and promoting the animal-human bond and creating a community where our relationship with companion animals is guided by compassion. Our dedication and c

ommitment is achieved through adoptions, community awareness, fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found. Our Vision is to reduce the number of unwanted animals through community Spay and Neuter programs, Low Cost Vaccination Programs and Micro-Chip events all while raising awareness and promoting responsible ownership.We are deeply committed to these goals while ensuring the financial security and stability of the organization for future generations. Each year, hundreds of abandoned companion cats and dogs looking for a second chance in life are successfully placed in loving homes through adoptions facilitated by FAAS.

Tonight at the American Legion in Attleboro, 6pm to 10pm, the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter is doing a pottery night fundraiser. Here are all your choices, you pick your piece(s), you pick your colors, you paint, and then in a week or 2 you pick your pieces up all shiny and smooth. Lots to choose from. A percentage of all proceeds goes to the cats and dogs who enter our shelter. Hope to see you there!

We have received an overwhelming amount of emails, Facebook msgs and voicemails regarding the Yorkie.

It is heartwarming to see so many people who care! However, we are not at liberty to discuss this situation, and we kindly ask you to respect that. Due to that we will not be responding.

WE NEED YOU!

We are seeking volunteers to work with our canine kids. Hours are during adoption days and times which are, Sat 11a to 3p, Sun 11a to 1p and Wed 6p to 8p. Right now the urgent needs are for Sunday and Wednesday. All volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years old

You will go thru proper training to include: shelter safety, canine handling, understanding dog behavior etc.

This handsome boy is Theo! He's about a year old and will be up for adoption soon!!! He passed his eval with flying colors and soon will be heading to the Vet for vaccines!

I swear every time I pointed the camera at him he looked away. The only time I could get pictures was when he was down for belly rubs
