📢 Paw Haven Pricing Update

Beginning July 11th, Paw Haven will be implementing a pricing adjustment on grooming services.

This decision was not made lightly. As the costs of products, equipment maintenance, utilities, insurance, payroll, and operating expenses continue to rise, this adjustment will allow us to maintain the quality of care and service that your pets receive during every visit.

About a month ago, I received a call from a client who was desperate to find someone willing to work with his dog, Gus. He explained that Gus had been sedated for grooming multiple times because he was very defensive about having his legs and feet touched and could become aggressive during grooming.
Before scheduling a full groom, I invited Gus to come by the shop for a visit. I wanted him to have a chance to explore the environment, smell the shop, meet me, and become comfortable with the space without any pressure.
A few days later, Gus came back for his appointment, and honestly, I was surprised. While he did let me know he was uncomfortable a few times—especially when it came to his legs and nails—he was nowhere near the dog I had expected. With patience, consistency, and taking things at his pace, we worked through it together.
I didn't force him, and I didn't give up on him. By the end of the appointment, I was able to complete his groom from head to toe, including those challenging areas. Most importantly, Gus left feeling successful, comfortable, and proud of himself.
Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Every dog deserves a groomer willing to take the time to understand them, build trust, and help them succeed. ❤️🐾
