We got Mary & Joseph last spring and a year later, we have these cuties!
We’ve gathered other ducks over the year, but these two were our very first!

Mary has worked tirelessly to lay, warm, and hatch these babies, and now she’s doing a great job as a first time mama😍

If you look very closely, you’ll see Mary being such a good little mama on her nest🦆

We only see her out and about in the mid mornings now for a quick swim and meal—then we see her waddling so fast, yet cautiously back to her nest while Joseph (Rouen drake) follows and watches that she gets there safely.
Sometimes Arnold, our Pekin (the kids call him Jesus but I just can’t fathom the idea of one day eating Jesus😅) helps Joseph watch after Mary.

I enjoy watching it all while I have coffee🥰

These three were our OG duck squad and have grown up together on this farm since they were just a couple days old. (Or whatever age stores start seIIing them lol!)

There will be a small crate closer to our mailbox for drop off—No cameras, no shame.
We aren’t here for that.

Whewww😮‍💨

We get 20+ eggs a day between all of our farm birds, and even though we seII a lot of them, we get more in just as fast as they go out!

We were ready to greatly reduce from the fridge and counter, so feeding the farm seemed like a super logical way to use them up without having to cut any losses.

With having 1 cat, 2 guineas, 5 dogs, 13 ducks, 15 pigs, 25 chickens, and about 40 chicks—you can imagine what kind of feed biII we have😅😂🤣

We scrambled and boiled about 10 dozen eggs today, then we chopped up all the pan scrapings and boiled egg shells to give to the brooder chicks—we even added a few boiled eggs for them too!

All of the raw egg shells went into the compost bin for our worms and the garden.

Today was definitely a “waste not, want not” kind of day for this little farm of ours!🥰

Our youngest loves a lot of things, and gardening is def towards the top of the list!
She helped transplant our starters this morning, and she transplanted something she started herself nearly 18 months ago.

There was this bush flower thing, we still don’t know what it is, but she picked some and brought to me as a gift, so we put it in a cup of water.
She has watered that thing and taken such good care of it in its little cup in our kitchen, and it’s still going strong! So today, she decided to move it outside to start a whole new plant♥️

Welcome to This Little Farm of Ours!

We’re excited to share our journey with you as we learn and grow, and to help meet your farm needs as well.🥰

Not to put a damper on things, but let’s just go ahead and also get this part out of the way.😉

We just want to let it be known that we do not give refunds on the farm unless there is a problem on our end preventing us from holding up our end of the bargain.
We do not accept any kind of payment before disclosing all issues to you about whatever we’re discussing. (We don’t usually let anything with problems trade hands, but there have been occasions where the person knew what was wrong and was comfortable purchasing anyway)

Once payment is complete, it’s yours.
Your failure to pick up isn’t our fault (and we negotiate those terms before payment as well).
Payment is the LAST thing discussed and collected, but it is due before pickup if you want us to hold anything for you for any length of time unless otherwise arranged.

We will only do refunds if the reason the deal falls through is on our end—we aren’t crooks.😇

There are too many people who want something one day and change their mind the next, but us holding for you meant that we turned away other deals to honor the one made with you. You backing out hurts our chances of it going elsewhere.

This is all said with kindness and respect on our part, and we aren’t heartless—so sometimes we may operate on a case-by-case situation.

This is simply a “what to generally expect”.

Don’t worry though, we didn’t just fall off the turnip truck yesterday, and we have many customers who’ve done business with us and have given us no complaints thus far.
We started in August of 2022, but as we’ve grown, we realized a “page” was probably a good idea too—so THIS part is new lol.
