Inspired by need, Inventor Tony Monaco "built" the first GRANDSTAND in miniature form from the cardboard backing of a legal tablet. This was done simply to test the possibilities. Then after a few scale drawings, he went to a local lumber yard, ordered what he needed for delivery the next day. That day was exactly one week from April 8, 20121, the night of his first show with Turnstiles, his newly

formed Billy Joel Tribute band. With only 1 week to build, The GRANDSTAND had to fold to fit into his 2007 Chevrolet Equinox,be movable with no more than 2 people, hold a large digital piano (Yamaha S90EX) and look like a classic grand piano and be ready in ONE WEEK! It indeed do it all.....in GRAND style! Some 9 years and over 500 shows later, the original GRANDSTAND is still on the road, completing the illusion of a real piano for Turnstiles' tribute to The Piano Man! So if you have a digital piano, it deserves to live in a GRANDSTAND! The only collapsible piano shell in the US!

Happy holidays everyone! Due to a lapse in available manufacturing, sales of Grandstand’s are on hold. I will keep everyone advised as we move into the new year.

For those local to South Florida, please note that the Rental season is picking up. If you have any dates that you need a shell for, please book early. Our goal is to have multiple rental units to meet the demand.

To all my family and Facebook friends….WOW! We (Turnstiles)have been bursting at the seams for weeks now because we were not able to share this amazing news until today. So here goes!

We were asked and chosen to open for the band Vampire Weekend on October 5th and 6th at……

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!

Yes!! THE Madison Square Garden! Needless to say we are a bit numb, overjoyed, blessed, and so very honored to have this once in a lifetime experience!

We will be sharing pre-sales and sales of tickets etc. Obviously, we would love to see some of our South Florda faces but we also understand that’s a bit of an undertaking….but again…ITS THE GARDEN!!!!

So on behalf of the band, I would like to say that, without the support and the love, and the belief that you all have held in what we do, this would’ve never happened. We will never be able to express how much our families, friends, and loyal fans mean to us!

Happy weekend everybody! I did two Piano shell rentals yesterday with my buddy Mark and one of them was for Michael Cavanaugh. Michael starred in the Broadway production of Moving Out. I never had the pleasure meeting him and not only is he Uber talented, he’s just a great guy. I’ll have the pleasure of working with him again in a few weeks.

Today we head to Pinellas Park performing arts Center for a sold out show! Then tomorrow we head to Venice, Florida, and the Venice performing arts center for a matinee show! I am so appreciative and feel so blessed!🙏😎👍
