Scallywags- the world feels on fire right now.❤️‍🩹

And while we can’t do it all, heal it all, or fix it all, there’s something really grounding about caring for someone or something beyond ourselves.🌏🐾

In my humble opinion, there’s no better place to start than learning about animals because in doing so, we end up learning a lot about ourselves, too.

We’re all in this together.

✨Sidenote - the bed head this morning is so real 😂 and honestly… Social media can warp our expectations of normalcy and imperfection. So cheers to also being a bit messy, doing our best, and doing what’s best for you and your dog.

🌏We humans wired to follow the crowd for “safety”- to not question authority, stay in line, do as we are told.

❤️‍🩹Sadly, this is why so many of my clients have told me they sought guidance by other “trainers” in the past who made false promises to “fix” their dog and use aversive methods of punishment, fear, and harm to keep their dog “in line”. They never questioned the advice, even when the instructions felt “off”. It never felt good to push that shock collar button. All my clients had wanted was what was best for their dog. So…they listened to these “trainers”…only to find that a connection with their dog was broken in the aftermath. They thought that there must be another way…a kinder and more compassionate way. And there was 🩵

These are the rebels. These brave guardians decided “no more” to the old ways of dog training and sought science, began to question “experts”, and ask the hard questions to help their dog (and themselves) find peace and happiness in this 1 life we have to live more fully.

We hold no judgement here at . We challenge the old ways of dog training and behavior modification for longer lasting results and understanding. We welcome everyone and anyone who wants another chance to find connection with their companion 🐾

We don’t need to be fixed.
Your dog doesn’t need to be fixed.
We aren’t broken.

We are already whole just the way we are.

In sad and scary times, we need to remember to get back to nature, keep things simple, get on a schedule that doesn’t fry our nervous system, play, and rest.
