We want to keep you informed about the ongoing tariff situation between the U.S. and Canada, which continues to create uncertainty in the market. Policies are shifting rapidly, making it challenging for businesses to plan with confidence.
2 days ago, the Trump administration implemented a 25% tariff on all goods entering the U.S., including live reptiles. However, just hours ago, this decision was paused until April 2nd while negotiations between both nations continue.
What This Means for Our Import/Export Schedule:
✅ USA to Canada shipments remain unaffected and are proceeding as planned, as Canada has not placed tariffs on live reptile imports.
❓ Canada to USA exports remain uncertain, with the situation evolving daily. As a precaution, we have decided to cancel our April 9th export to the U.S., given its proximity to the April 2nd decision deadline.
✅ Our April 16th Canada to USA export remains scheduled, pending further updates on April 2nd.
Current Schedule:
USA to Canada – April 2nd (Active)
Canada to USA – April 9th (Cancelled)
Canada to USA – April 16th (Active, pending further updates)
We understand that this uncertainty is disrupting business operations, sales planning, and logistics. We sincerely hope for a swift and stable resolution so that businesses on both sides of the border can operate with confidence.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and trust in us during this time.
