A little update on the baby Shinisaurus. They are going well and have become ravenous little hunters.

The spengleri hatchlings are doing great. Here is one of the younger ones hunting soldier fly larvae.

One of my lythrochila babies is finally starting to put on some size. I can’t wait to see these start to color up!

Last week, one of my Shinisaurus girls gave birth to her first litter and my first ever litter of this species. She has been abnormally plump since the spring, but I don’t want to get my hopes up until I knew for sure. It’s been 4 years of husbandry tweaks to figure this species out, but I think I know what works for me now.

I also managed to get a not so great underwater photo of mom in the process of giving birth (second photo).

Rubida trying to make more rubida. It seems like this group has finally settled in here, and hopefully this will be the year they lay some eggs.

My oldest male Redhead histrionica. This frog is 12+ years old and still stunning.

The tiny but bold Oophaga vicentei. One of my favorite species!

Getting new pairs of frogs are great. Getting new pairs of frogs from your friends are even better. Here’s a new pair of small form Red Head histrionica from bayoubasinherpetoculture

A couple juvenile radiated tortoises I’ve been growing up.
