BENTLEY PUPDATE: "I found some training source of human remains! Love the smell but love my peanut butter reward even more! Come on Mom get that peanut butter out for me!"

BENTLEY PUPDATE: Fascinating scent picture at training yesterday at the Oscoda County Fairgrounds. 15 mph north winds going through this old horse barn with stalls on the outside and inside. On the outside right in line with the stall where the subject was located inside the barn, Bentley picked up her scent. He tried to get to her by jumping up and over a 5 foot stall door on a stall outside of the barn on the south side then jumped on the wall trying to get to the subject. He was so determined and excited but there was no way to get to her. When we came around to the inside of the barn now he was up wind and had to figure out what stall she was actually in. He was actually right, it was the same spot as the outside stall and wall. Good problem solving day with an inaccessible subject.

BENTLEY PUPDATE: Training day was challenging for Bentley. In a short period of time the clouds gave way to the sun that heated up fast. The radiation of heat from the sun draws the skin rafts from the subject straight up to the sky and then add wind, and it's a perfect looping scent conditions. Working from ridge to ridge scent loops and hits the top of the ridge. Bentley picked up the scent from ridge to ridge and loss the scent down in the valley. He worked it out well.

Bentley 's words. "Mom may think it's challenging but I had it figured out. Boy it got hot fast and I'm not use to that. Mom took Finley and I to the river afterwards for some play time in the cool water."
