Hi, I’m Octavia. I am a Corgi/Terrier mix and I am about about seven years old. I have the cutest short legs and a scruffy, wirehaired coat that has been trimmed short for summer. A few weeks ago my owner died unexpectedly. I ended up at a very crowded metro area shelter. It was so loud, scary and stressful there. Thankfully I only had to stay there one night before the people from SOHF came to rescue me.
This is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I am very overweight. I’ve had bloodwork done and there is no medical reason for my obesity, I was simply overfed. I currently weigh 31 pounds but need to lose at least 10 of those. A controlled diet and daily exercise will be key to getting me back in good shape again. Do you have ten pounds to lose, too? Maybe we can do it together. I’ll help you if you’ll help me. I enjoy going on walks and would love for you to join me. I also love riding in the car so if you want to take me to the park I would love that, too.
In my foster home I get along pretty well with the other dogs, but I would be just as happy as an only dog. I adore my foster mom and I follow her everywhere. I am mild-mannered and easygoing. Basically, I’m happy when you’re happy.
You can see more photos and apply to adopt me at www.SOHFGA.com. I’m ready for my fresh new start. My bags are packed and I hope to hear from you soon.
Love,
Octavia 🐾
