🌍🐾 Happy Earth Day from all of us at Cat Care of Vinings! 🐾🌍

Cats may rule the house, but Mother Earth rules them all β€” and today, we’re purring our appreciation for this beautiful planet we all call home. 🐱🌿
Whether it’s lounging in sunbeams, watching birds from the window, or rolling in that one specific patch of dirt (you know the one 😹), our feline friends love nature too.

Here’s how you and your kitty can go green together:
♻️ Choose eco-friendly litter
🌱 Donate old towels & blankets to local shelters
πŸ’§ Use reusable food/water bowls
🧴 Opt for earth-safe cleaning products
Let’s protect the planetβ€”one pawprint at a time. πŸΎπŸ’š

Two Maine C***s in one week?!
Meet Nimue and Rogue!
Did you know the Maine C**n is one of the largest domestic cat breeds? Adult males can weigh up to 18 pounds or more, and females are usually around 10-12 pounds. They have thick, water-resistant coats that help to protect them in cold climates. Their large, tufted paws act as natural snowshoes, which was helpful in their cold, snowy native region of Maine!

We love Miss Belle!
This sweet little angel came to see us for a dental cleaning. Her dental radiographs revealed a Feline Oral Resorptive Lesion (FORL). This is a painful dental condition where a cat's tooth structure breaks down and dissolves, often starting at the gumline. These lesions can cause discomfort, difficulty eating, and even infection. They are common in cats, especially as they age, and can affect any tooth. Early detection by a veterinarian is crucial to manage pain and prevent further dental damage. Treatment typically involves tooth extraction or other dental procedures to alleviate discomfort and improve your cat’s quality of life. If you notice your cat drooling, avoiding food, or pawing at their mouth, it's important to schedule a dental check-up.
Dr. Friedlander removed the tooth and Miss Belle was happy and no longer painful at her recheck visit!

🚨🚨🚨RESCUE SUCCESS STORY🚨🚨🚨
We all know and love Ms. Toast, but did you know she was rescued as a stray shortly after giving birth? Her litter was nowhere to be found and this poor little lady was searching around for food and shelter 😿
The physical change Ms. Toast experienced is astounding! Thanks to a loving home, proper nutrition, enrichment and veterinary care- she's a whole new lady!

🐾 April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month 🐾

At Cat Care of Vinings, we are committed to providing the best care for your feline friends and ensuring that every cat is treated with kindness, respect, and compassion. This month, we join the effort to raise awareness and take action against animal cruelty.

Here’s how you can help: 1️⃣ Educate others on how to properly care for cats and all animals. 2️⃣ Report any suspected cruelty to local authorities. 3️⃣ Provide a loving home for cats in needβ€”adopt, don’t shop. 4️⃣ Regularly visit us for checkups and preventive care to keep your feline healthy and happy.

Together, we can make a difference and protect those who can’t speak for themselves. Let’s spread love, not cruelty! πŸ’œ
