I share this pic every now and again , in hopes it will inspire someone to keep pushing!!
In this pic everything may have “looked” all good but I was going through my storm. I had been in Atlanta for about a year, struggling my ass off. This pic was taken in 2013 at an extended stay motel (before I started grooming) that at the time I called home. Me, 2 dogs and a parrot. About 2 months prior to this my apt was broken into 2 times. Everything that I valued was taken. I was fighting for extra shifts at the Cheesecake Factory. I worked 7 days a week double about 3 times a week and still couldn’t afford maintain financial stability, let alone live a “Happy” life. Before I found this extended stay motel I was staying “pillar to post”, crashing at co workers homes (with my animals) until my stay was no longer welcomed. I lived in my car until for a few weeks until I totaled it. When I reached out to family for help, their solution was for me to move back home to New Orleans and honestly that wasnt an option for me. I was determined yet broken, confused , depressed, lonely and had too much pride to let the people closest to me know what I was going through. But through all of this I remained a fighter and didn’t allow my situation to deter me from my dreams... I kept grinding and kept going!! Looking back at it now, l’m thankful for everything that i have been through because it truly prepared me for and made me the person/BOSS I am today! I wouldn’t be who i am without my struggle.l’m sharing this in hopes to inspire someone not to give up. Hard times will come. You gotta keep fighting and keep grinding. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and every step you take, you get closer. Although, my life isn’t perfect I live a fulfilling life that i am happy with and I have a lot of things to be grateful for!!.... if i can do it, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!

This year for Christmas I decided to do things a little differently ….
I signed the lease for a 3rd location!!!!!
This will be our 2nd New Orleans location, this one on the east bank and on the westbank. And of course in ATL
Growing up this building was a popular fried chicken spot. (Manchu on Broad st) I’d go there after school many of days… This is a full circle moment for me.
I was surprised to find out that This building is 2 stories!! I have a backyard, parking spaces and on a Main Street.. I’m so excited about what im about to do for these pups and community.
Im nervous but im strong believer and I know what GOD can do!!
He kept me here for a reason!!!!
I couldn’t do it without my amazing team and the best manager I could ask for
2025 is Go Time!!!

Does this cutie look familiar?!? …
Did you know that I trained Angela and her staff ?!? I Taught them pointers and my techniques on color and color application. I gave them a private lesson now 2 years ago in Carlsbad,California.. Long before Zoe became instafamous !!! It’s truly amazing to see how “famous” she has gotten and the growth of my students since my training……That was my first time teaching a salon. ! Boy I learned a lot!!!!! So many things I would do differently, but nonetheless greatness was created!!!!!! .
One of my biggest joys is watching my trainees grow!! It truly warms my heart!!!! … even if I don’t get credit for it! 🫶🏽 .
