The Waits/Pickett family of Stephens County visited the FCSO Pet Adoption and Resource Center a few weeks ago looking for a furry, four-legged member to join their family. The young couple, who now reside in Martin, GA, wanted to share their multiple acres of land with an active dog. When they met Ravioli, they knew she was perfect for their home! Meet Rue! She is a sweet senior gal who is quite the fashionista! Don't let her age fool you, this spunky gal is full of life! She is energetic, playful and always ready to spend time with her favorite people. Rue brings excitement and laughter wherever she goes.

Stop by the PARC today to meet Rue! We are located across the street from the Coal Mountain Dog Park.

This morning we introduce you to Beck and Creed. Don't forget, this is the last week that adoptions are FREE and all fees are waived (thru the end of August).

Beck is a fun, loving, beautifully marked kitten that's just looking for someone to cuddle with.

Creed is a handsome, muscular boy that needs a home where he can roam a bit, and protect his family from the cats trying to take over the world. He already has some training, and just needs someone to continue it by spending time with him.

Happy Gotcha Day Winnie!
Glenda and David Ostrander were on a mission. Their goal was to find a mature black cat.

In a few short minutes at the PARC, they knew that they had met their match. 13 year old Winnie was going to her new fur-ever home.

“We wanted a black cat again”, said the retired Gwinnett School’s employee. “We have been very lucky with black cats”. The Ostrander’s last three cats lived a wonderful life; each surpassing 18 years of life.

The couple married nearly 50 years wanted a companion to complement their relaxing lifestyle.

Winne was the ideal choice. “She’s so sleek and elegant”, stated the Florida native. “She truly a black beauty.”

We have triple trouble in the puppy and kittten wings of the building! These little bundles of joy are ready to begin their lives with you! And don't forget, all pet adoption fees are waived through the month of August!

On Sunday, we partnered with The Humane Society of Forsyth County to offer a free rabies vaccination clinic. Dr. Sue Kascher administered 103 vaccines to residents pets. Thank you Elanco Animal Health for supplying the vaccines.

Saturday, we held our Clear the Shelter event. During the event we had 2 dogs and 6 cats pre-adopted, 3 dogs and 9 cats adopted, 3 dogs were returned to their owners and we had a total of 73 visitors throughout the day. We also received a generous donation from the Mercedes Club organized by My Mercedes and Bimmer Place.

FCSO PARC is partnering with the Humane Society of Forsyth County to hold a free rabies vaccination clinic this Sunday.

The event will be held at Fowler Park in Pavilion 1's parking lot. It starts at 12pm until 4pm or while supplies last. Come by and get your furry friend an up to date rabies vaccine.

Join us this Saturday for our Clear the Shelters event beginning at 10:30am. We will have a DJ, Popcorn and Snow Cones ...
