My son Charley, and his security detail🐺
are extremely valuable me.
The safety of my son and his mother are my number one priority.
The fact that I’ve been trusted, and tasked with the honor of being the earthly father of a boy who carries our last name, “Thurston” (Thor’s-Son), is not something I take lightly.
I was chosen by our Father, to be a guardian of the next generation of His Sons of Thunder.
James and John were given this title by Jesus himself (Matthew 3:17), making it one that I feel extremely proud to carry myself. But with it being a family name, it came to me as an unearned title. James and John didn’t just have the title handed to them at birth like I did.
So, even though I will carry the name to death, regardless of the life I lead; as one of His Sons of Thunder, I still feel obligated to earn this title, and live up to the name. And until Charley came around, I never knew how I would do so. Or how I even could.
I now understand that I am here to be the iron that sharpens the iron, that is Charley. He has been sharpening me since the moment I learned of his existence. I don’t feel like I really became a man until I saw his face. In that moment, I realized that it was now my job to protect him, and guide him through life in a world that is ruled by snakes who want to take claim of his mind, and turn his eyes away from the plans my Father has for him.
As the guardian and protector of Thor’s Son, Charley, I am extremely grateful for the 3 dogs that I’ve been gifted with. They help me perform my job as best I can.
By Charley’s side, 2 pups from Sons of Thor K-9’s first litter ever. There’s Charley’s mom’s dog, Asgard. Also, my boy John Connor. And of course, their mother, Tiboroff’s “Queen Esther”.
Producing the highest quality Family Protection Dogs is not a mere income to me. Money means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Raising these dogs is so much more than a job or a hobby… It’s a major part of my purpose here. This work is my passion, because it’s personal.

For these dogs to be stable enough to actually perform their jobs and fulfill their duties as working-service dogs, they must be capable of going where their handler goes, wherever that may be. No exceptions, no excuses.
“Oh, well I can’t take Fido shopping with me because I saw a lady with an off-leash yappy dog go in the store ahead of me… If her dog barks at him or runs up to him, he’ll start ___ (insert undesirable behavior) because of her unmannered dog.”
This is unacceptable for any dog that is supposed to be a protection or service dog if any kind. The world we live in is full of infinite possibilities and potential stressors and distractions, and if you can’t count on your dog to be able to ignore them and stay focused on it performing its job, then you don’t have a service dog. You just have a dog that can sometimes be of service. That’s why it’s so important to get them used to working with, and in close proximity to other dogs. The younger you can start with this, the better off they’ll be.

Finally getting some weight back onto Esther now that she’s getting closer to being through with breastfeeding. She’s been eating 5lbs of raw meat a day, and still couldn’t keep the weight on🥵 I guess that’s what feeding 10 puppies will do to a momma dog though! But seriously, 20 quarter pounders a day?!?! Whew!
Today was the first day I worked momma and some of the pups together. Esther is happy as a clam to be gettin put to work again. The pups are all showing serious promise! I’m not looking forward to getting rid of a single one of em to be completely honest.
“Salvation” left us today though, which was really bittersweet. That pretty little trouble making bitch was definitely one of my favorites, and the selfish part of me that regrets not keeping her for myself. That’s the bitter part of it. But the sweet part couldn’t be any sweeter! She’s headed down to Florida with !
There’s very few people in the world who I would’ve even given the choice of buying Salvation, let alone recommending her! But Joel runs one of the coolest programs that I’ve ever looked into. And that’s exactly why I felt so honored when he not only decided to purchase a pup from my litter, but also took my recommendation seriously and chose Salvation!
So the sweetness of today certainly overpowers the bitter. Very excited for what the future holds for Salvation!

My boys🐺 John Connor might be the male that’s gonna stay and train with me for a year or two. I really like him a lot. Gonna try and settle on both a male and a female over the weekend. 80% sure John is my male. The female is gonna be an even tougher call for me than the males have been🥵
