🐾 Meet Jackson! 🐾

Jackson is a 3-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd with a big heart, endless loyalty, and a personality that keeps everyone smiling! 💙 While he’s an absolute sweetheart, Jackson has a few quirks that need some polishing. He struggles with separation anxiety, tends to bark a bit too loudly, and has a habit of getting way too close when guests sit down — face licks and all! 😅

Out on walks, Jackson can get triggered by random things or people, which leads to barking and pulling. And when it’s time to come inside? Let’s just say, sometimes he’s got his own plans. 🐾

While he’s full of charm and energy, like many pups, Eli needs guidance in some areas. He can be pushy and demanding, jumps on people, is mouthy, sometimes pulls other dogs by the ears, and can be insecure at times.

Oakley’s Training Journey at Alan’s K9 Academy🎓🐾🐕‍🦺

Oakley, a young Dutch Shepherd, enrolled in Alan’s K9 Academy for professional training to address her reactivity toward people and other dogs. Her owners recognized that she needed structured guidance and the right handling techniques to help her succeed.

During her time in our Day School program, Oakley made tremendous progress. Through consistent structure, obedience work, and clear communication, she has learned how to manage her excitement and focus more effectively around distractions. Her family has also developed the skills needed to properly guide her and maintain her success at home.

While Oakley still requires continued management and practice, her overall behavior and confidence have improved significantly. She now understands all of her basic obedience commands—both on and off leash—and has become a much more enjoyable and reliable walking companion for her mom.

Oakley is a vocal girl who loves to “talk,” and her family now understands that this is simply part of her personality. With ongoing consistency and reinforcement, Oakley’s reactivity continues to improve, and she’s well on her way to becoming the balanced, confident companion her family hoped for! -`♡´-

🐾 Meet Fern! 🐾

Fern is a 1-year-old Mini Poodle who is loving, affectionate, and enjoys cuddles. While she brings a lot of joy to her family, Fern has some behaviors that need guidance. She has shown growling toward the other dogs in the household, likely stemming from jealousy, and can be very possessive of Shawnee and Tim. This possessiveness has unfortunately led to fights, with one recent incident leaving the older dog with a gash on her head.

Shawnee and Tim, Fern’s devoted pawrents, are committed to helping Fern learn how to coexist safely with the other dogs in the household. Their goal is to ensure Fern can remain a cherished part of the family without fear of her hurting anyone.

We’re excited to support Fern and her family on the journey toward a calm, well-mannered, and harmonious home! 🐶✨
