Somewhere in this muddle nurse the Beky Seven. At five weeks, the sevensome are starting to eat more and more solid foods, relying less and less on mom’s milk. The pups are only taking from her in the morning and at bedtime. I believe Beky senses her time with her babies is nearing the end. She is so happy and excited to be reunited with her pups and seems to cherish every moment she is with them. If ever a dog could display content, it’s written all over the face of Beky.

This is what family is all about. I lost contact with the owner of two pups. Charlie regularly emailed me updates and pictures, then suddenly contact stopped. I tried repeatedly to call, text and email to check on the pups. They are brother and sister, same parents, different litters. Two years later I hear from his sister (I included her email), Charlie had suddenly passed away. The family took care of his babies. I would have never known the fate of these two precious creatures and would still be wondering about them today. There should be an award for people with these kind of hearts. This is what family is all about.

Is someone wearing a coat? The moms sometimes produce a longer coat pup and Piker may have two this litter. I noticed a wavy look on their back last week and have been watching these two girls to know for sure. These pups are stunning! Here’s a the coats from previous litters as adults.
