Here’s your chance to help our new mommy, Star and her family of 9 pups (yes, 9!)! These puppies are going to require extra supplies and routine vet care before they’re old enough to be adopted - and that’s an expensive proposition! Also, care will be required for Star because while this may not be her first litter, it certainly is her last! Would you consider supporting Star and her puppies with just a $5 donation? In addition to Star and her pups, we also have Ariana and her pups, as well as all of our adult residents. Today, Camp O.P.P. Campers battled head to head during Muffin Game Races! 🧁🎾💙

Campers were split into two groups and chose their racers, Coco and Charlie! Before the race, campers put single treats in a few random, empty muffin tins and then covered them all with tennis balls. Our Camp Directors counted them down and then, our racers were off!

Here’s your daily dose of cuteness courtesy of Star 🌟 and her 9 beautiful babies! Star’s family consists of 5 girls and 4 boys. Fun Fact: all 5 of the girls were born before any of the boys! Today Camp OPP is visiting Bearfoot Ranch learning about horses and horse rescue! 🐴💙

This week, our camp program is all about Kindness & Compassion! While at Bearfoot Ranch, campers had the privilege of learning the basics of horseback riding, helped with some service projects and learned all about horse rescue!

Good morning from Star and her sweet family! We have 9 puppies with the last one making his appearance at 11:20 last night. Star is the best mommy! While it is absolutely amazing to witness a mother’s instincts and resilience as she brings life into this world, it doesn’t change the fact that there are 9 more precious lives who will need loving homes when there already aren’t enough to go around. 🚨Puppy Alert!🚨
Three weeks ago tomorrow, a stray dog was seen darting back and forth across Canton Road. We monitored the whereabouts of the stray as best we could in the midst of camp activities. Finally the stray was found as she hid in the woods on the other side of Our Pal’s Place. Using everything we know about how dogs communicate with their bodies and with the advice of our dear friend Lavonda, a lost dog specialist, we were able to gain her trust so we could get her to safety. Our Camp Directors named her after the goddess, Star. After her stray hold was complete, Star visited Dr Shepherd during a camp visit to North Roswell Veterinary Clinic. We had a suspicion Star might be pregnant but exam results were inconclusive. Time always tells and Star definitely was pregnant! Thinking we had a week or two before puppies would arrive, we were much surprised when Star started giving birth an hour ago. So far we have one healthy puppy. Stay tuned!

Camp O.P.P. is back! After a well-deserved week off, Camp O.P.P. has been having a lot of fun being back! Today, our campers (and our Kitty Supervisor, Murphy) helped our litter of kittens learn how to eat real food. Now that our kittens are old enough to eat solid food, our campers have been eager to help them out! 💙🐈

Last week, our Our Pal’s Place Intake Team was at Cobb County Animal Services when they met sweet Ariana and her tiny puppies. Ariana, a 12-pound Chihuahua mix, and her babies had just been surrendered because their people could no longer care for them. A busy county shelter is no place for a mom and her fragile litter, so our team immediately stepped up and brought Ariana and her babies safely back to our facility. 🐶💙

Now they’re getting the love, warmth, and care they deserve — but we can’t do it alone!
