🇺🇸🧨Keep your dogs safe this July 4th!!!🧨🇺🇸

More dogs go missing July 4th weekend than any other time of the year! 😭While we all love a good party, your little doggo may not want to join 🐶Fireworks' loud and unpredictable patterns are foreign to dogs and pose a big threat to trigger your fragile doggie's pre-adoption PTSD.

Here are some tips from KPUPS:
1️⃣Keep your dog's ID tag on at all times
2️⃣Ensure their microchip is registered
3️⃣ Consider anxiety medication with your vet or seek out dog-safe CBD
4️⃣ Exercise your pup earlier in the day and finish all outdoor activities before the fireworks start.
5️⃣ Playing soothing music to mask the noise and relax your pup.
6️⃣ Close blinds and curtains to limit exposures to flashes.
7️⃣ Having a party? Park them in a safe space inside. Keep them in your room, by their crate or close to a bathroom where they may want to seek shelter. Check on them frequently to make sure there is no self-harm like biting or scratching.
8️⃣ Reinstate your original use of a double leash on their harness and collar combo for day and night walks. Consider
connecting your dog's collars/harness with a carabiner to ensure they don't slip out.
9️⃣ Forgive potty accidents. Your scared dog is not your stable dog. Let this one slide!

❤️Noah is ADOPTABLE❤️
Noah is a timid pup who needs some time and space to warm up, his goofy and sweet personality begins to shine. He doesn’t love being touched unless he invites it by showing his belly and lifting his leg for rubs. If he needs space, he may give a gentle growl—please respect that.

He’s not into toys, but loves walks and simply being near his person. Noah can be reactive to other dogs due to fear, so he needs gentle redirection when out walking. Though shy with new people, cheese is the ultimate key to his heart!

He does have a history of fear-based biting, so it’s important to read his body language and give him space when needed. Noah just needs a patient, understanding person to give him a chance.

☀️ It’s HOT out there! This week’s temps aren’t just uncomfortable — they can be dangerous for our pups 🐾🔥

Here are some quick summer safety tips: 🌅 Walk early or late when it’s cooler
🚶‍♂️ Keep mid-day outings short — just potty breaks!
🥵 Watch for nonstop panting, drooling, or weakness
🚗 NEVER leave your dog in a parked car
💦 Keep them hydrated and cool

Heatstroke can happen fast — if you notice any signs, head to the vet ASAP. Stay safe and keep those paws off the hot pavement! 🐶💛

🍮 Jello is ADOPTABLE!!!🍮
Jello can be a little shy at first but with time, he loves everyone regardless of gender and age 🥰 Jello has both ears folded down, but you'll notice how the ears flop when he walks and it's the cutest thing! 🐕 Jello loves his squeaky toys, he will come over at a squeak of his beloved toys🧸 💜 Jello has a great appetite so be careful with the treats 😋 Jello will be a great family member wherever he goes ❤️ Jello has a brother Celo, slightly bigger than him who is also adoptable! They do not have to be adopted together, but we will still have fingers crossed 🤞😉

Hankang is a shy boy who loves to go on walks and eat yummy meals and treats!💜 Hankang does get nervous when he meets other dogs on walks while being leashed, but he plays very well at dog parks with other dogs when he is not leashed!💓🐶 He is house-trained and plays with his toys and LOVES taking naps✨ Please give Hankang some time to adjust in his new home and get to know you and he will be your best friend!❤️

🚗 URGENT Transport Needed for Noah! 🐾
We are urgently looking for someone who can help drive Noah from Virginia to Atlanta. Most of our Kpups volunteers are based in Atlanta, and we need your help to get him there safely. If you're planning to drive toward Atlanta in the next few days—or even part of the way—we’d love to coordinate! We can organize a transport relay, where volunteers meet at various points along the route to help get Noah home. We know it’s a long shot, but we’re hopeful that just one compassionate person can help give Noah his second chance at life in Atlanta. And if you’re not able to help directly, please consider sharing this post—someone in your network might be the one who can get him there. Every share counts! ❤️
