UPDATE: BONNIE HAS BEEN FOUND! After 6 days if being on the run, she was spotted and we all ran out there and she was so thrilled to see her mama again!

One of our beloved client pups, Bonnie, ran off while on a trail hike with her mama yesterday at Oconee Heritage park. With the frigid cold we are all worried about her. We have all scouted every inch of the park over on 441 in Farmington, but chances are she’s left that area and traveled somewhere. She ran off while wearing a red jacket/sweater, and she is microchipped AND has her collar on with ID and rabies tags. If anyone even spots her around the Farmington/Bishop/Watkinsville or even Madison area, PLEASE contact me, or her owner Celia at 919-601-2372. We aren’t giving up hope, and will continue to look. She maaaay not come to you, but I’m sure she’s cold and tired and hungry. She LOVES squeaky toys and tennis balls so if you see her and have one she would prolly come to you. Our clients are family here and we love Bonnie like our own. PLEASE help us get the word out!

It is with a very heavy heart that we spread the news of our beloved Claire Bear’s passing today. She lived to the ripe old age of 15, and even though we didn’t adopt her until 2022, she lives such a full life with us these past 2 1/2 years. She used to just be a petsitting client, but we instantly fell in love with her and when her former owners let me know they surrendered her to the shelter because they couldn’t deal with her arthritis anymore, we swooped right in and gave her the best last few years of her life. There wasn’t a dog that she met that she wasn’t instant best friends with, and her love of food and trash made it easy for anyone to win her heart. She is the reason we have locks on our trash cans, and she is the reason we never have roaches because she will scoop up any dropped food that falls.

Yesterday her back legs gave out on her, and she became paralyzed. We made the difficult decision to ease her suffering this morning, and at 10:30 she was surrounded by her favorite people and after eating a last meal of a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle and slices of bacon, she was ready to transition to a pain free existence.

If you’ve ever left your dog with us, there is a 100% chance that they knew Claire and have become best friends. She always shared her dog bed and loved to cuddle. Please give your pups extra hugs today in memory of her.

You will forever be cherished, our sweet Claire Bear. I know you’re somewhere now digging into trash cans and getting thrown food scraps for the rest of eternity. We love you and miss you.

Happy New Year! We want to announce that starting today, January 1st, due to the rising economy, we will unfortunately have to be raising our prices to be able to continue to afford care and love to your babies! The good news is, any existing client that is with us will be grandfathered into the old pricing for all of 2025, and will then be incorporated into the new pricing. The new pricing will be as follows:

One dog - $40 (previously $30) a night
Each additional dog - $20 (previously $10) a night.
House calls - $50 for two visits for one dog per day, additional $20 per dog

We look forward to hanging out with your furbabies this year!
